Recommendations for Treyarnon

Treyarnon benefits from being close to some of Cornwall’s most acclaimed eateries. In Harlyn, two miles away, you’ll find The Pig at Harlyn Bay. Offering a true taste of the coast, this exceptional restaurant sources all its ingredients within a 25 mile radius. Highlights from the menu include seafood landed straight from the harbour, wonderfully prepared meats, and a quality wine list.

Just a mile away in St Merryn, you’ll find Rafferty’s Café and Wine Bar, which sits just 24 people in its intimate dining room. The village is also home to The Cornish Arms, a high-end pub run by Rick Stein that serves sumptuous food and boasts a suntrap al fresco space.

Head to Trevisker’s Kitchen, located four miles away at Trevisker Garden Centre, for a contemporary menu that champions fish, steak and Sunday lunch. The Pickwick Inn is another highlight, located five miles away in St Issey, and regarded as something of a hidden gem with countryside views over the Camel Estuary.

The beach at Treyarnon Bay has a wealth of facilities, making it perfect for family days out in the sun. Facilities include a car park, toilets, and a beach shop. All are within a short walk from the sands. RNLI lifeguards serve the beach from mid-May until late September. Treyarnon also benefits from a natural tidal pool which provides a sheltered place for bathing in the sea.

Treyarnon Bay Beach is dog-friendly throughout the year, so your playful pooches can join you for sea splashes and fun on the sands whatever the season.

The closest town to Treyarnon is Padstow, at just over four miles away. A renowned foodie haven, this north coast gem hosts many of Cornwall’s most sought-after restaurants and cafés. You’ll find celebrity and Michelin-awarded chefs serving culinary magic throughout the town. Padstow isn’t just about dining, however, and offers a wealth to explore on foot. There are several golden beaches on its doorstep as well as the Camel Trail – an 18-mile level path that’s popular among walkers, cyclists and horse riders throughout the year.

Wadebridge is 10 miles away. Nestled beside the River Camel, this historic town has a popular high street that offers independent shops, restaurants and cafés. Treyarnon is also 10 miles from Newquay. Newquay attracts tourists the world over to its spectacular beaches, surf and nightlife. There is a wealth of family-friendly attractions here too, including the Blue Reef Aquarium and Newquay Zoo.
