Samphire is a beautiful and large detached, contemporary style holiday home that is situated in the popular North Cornwall village of Trevone. Trevone Beach is just a short walk away as is Rocky beach. This superb property can accomodate 8 people over 5 bedrooms and it is just a short 5 minute drive away from Padstow.
For people that love lots of space, most of the downstairs is a very large open plan area which benefits from a lot of natural light from its many doors, velux window and glass ceiling which is the floor of the first floor balcony. Also downstairs there is a kitchen/Dining/Lounge area, utility, cloakroom, single bedroom with en-suite and another single bedroom.
Upstairs there is a beautiful master bedroom with a large and stylish en-suite, double bedroom, twin bedroom and a main bathroom. There is also a small quiet area upstairs which also gives you access to a glass floored balcony where you can see the sea. A modern day version of a quarterdeck!
The garden is a good size and it is totally secure for children and pets and there is also a rear decking area as well as an external hot water shower which is great for when you have returned from the beach.
Padstow is only a 5 minute drive away as is Harlyn Bay. Constantine Bay, Booby's Bay and Treyarnon Bay are all within a 10-15 minute drive away.

Samphire is only around 3 years old but in 2011, under its new owners, its has been completely redecorated, refurnished and improved to make it a stunning new large luxury holiday home in Trevone.
Walk into through the front door to a small hallway with coat and shoe racks. Then walk into the beautiful and large downstairs area with open plan kitchen, dining room, lounge, sun room and many doors that open into the outside garden. You can also look up through the glass floor of the upstairs glass floored balcony!
Open Plan Kitchen/Dining/Living/Sun Room Areas
The kitchen is gloss green and steel effect kitchens with granite worktops. At the end of the kitchen there is a breakfast bar area which is useful for those that can cook and talk at the same time! The kitchen has all the necessary appliances including: Integrated fridge freezer, one and a half oven built under electric oven, gas hob, extractor unit, 45 cm dishwasher and free standing microwave. This kitchen works really well and it is well equipped.
Dining Room Area
The dining room area is an excellent sized area with double doors at one end that open onto the back garden and double doors at the other end that open onto another part of the garden. The table is gloss white with a glass protector top and there is also a white gloss sideboard unit as well. This area catches the natural light very well and on warm evenings, its great to just open all the doors and enjoy. You also benefit from more light that comes in through the glass floor of the upstairs balcony.
Another large area with several different seating areas.The main curved seating area centres around the wall mounted LCD television which also has a DVD player and freeview television. Just along from this area is another sofa which is opposite a pair of double doors that open onto the garden. All these seating areas will benefit from the warm glow of the stylish wood burner
Sun Room Area
The sun room as its known is a part of the area which is made up of mainly windows and doors that lead to the outside. Its a great spot for children to chill out in as there are two Fat Boy bean bags for them to sit on.
Just off the kitchen through a sliding door, there is a utility room that has a stacked washing machine and tumble drier. There is also some kitchen units, a round stainless steel wash bowl and a rear door out to the external shower area and garden.
At the base of the stairs there is a cloakroom with a WC and wall hung wash hand basin. This cloakroom is also very useful for the guest that sleeps in bedroom 5.
A good sized single bedroom with 3ft bed, bedside cabinet and drawer unit. There is also a television in here that can be useful for those people that may need their own space such as children, teenagers or sports deprived dads!!
Bedroom Four with En-suite Shower Room
A single bedroom with a 3ft bed which has been stylishly furnished with bedside cabinet, drawer unit and Roman blinds. There is a built in sliding door that leads into the en-suite. Within the en-suite is a WC, Wall hung sink and a shower enclosure with thermostatic shower.

Walk up the stairs, past the built in seating area in the window ( a sure favourite for children) to the upstairs floor.
Master Bedroom with En-suite
A really great master bedroom which is extremely well finished and furnished. One of the great features of this room is a Juliet balcony which is great in the morning to just open up the double doors and look out across the garden and take in the fresh air. The bed is 5 ft and there are two bedside cabinets and a blanket box. For entertainment there is a wall mounted LCD television connected to Freeview. There is a walk in wardrobe which is of an excellent size and could probably house everyones clothes and still there would be space for more! In the walk in wardrobe area, there is also a full length mirror.
The ensuite is also a real treat with the choice of a rolled edge traditional style bath or a very large walk in shower! In addition to this there are also twin white ceramic sinks, WC and a heated towel rail.
With built in wardrobes, 5ft bed, bedside cabinets, drawer unit and a wall mounted LCD television, this is a good second bedroom which faces the front of the house.
This is a good sized bathroom that serves bedrooms two and three. You can have either a shower, a bath or both in this excellent bathroom. It also has a WC, sink and wall mounted heated towel rail.
For those that like peace and quiet, this is a great place to sit and just relax, read a book or look out of the sliding doors on the glass floored balcony.
Glass Floored Balcony
Walking on the glass floor is sometimes a bit un-nerving for some people but its a great feature and when you look at to the right, you can see the sea at Trevone beach.
One of the great feature sof this bedroom is the single door Juliet balcony that looks out across the garden. There are two 3 ft beds, bedside cabinets, drawer unit and built in wardrobes. There is also a large Velux window which helps make this a very light room.

Samphire has a really good sized garden that also has a few apple trees and if you have young children or pets, it can be make secure by locking the two gates. There is also very good quality exterior table, chairs and a gas barbeque that can be used as neceesary.
Around by the dining room area of the house, there is a seperately decked area with glass upstands which could be the location of an alfresco dining evening.
For those guests returning from the beach, the thermostatically controlled exterior shower is very welcome.
The garage can't be used to park a car but there is an undercover parking bay between the garage and he house.

My family came together from Cardiff, Hampstead, Richmond and Egypt for our get together. February was a milestone birthday for me and I wanted us all to a have a rare family get together. We wanted somewhere special where we could all relax and where we wouldn't be on top of each other. We loved Samphire. The amount of light inside the house, its nautical theme and tastefulness of decoration and appliances helped to make our stay very enjoyable. The layout of the open plan living area enabled us to chill out together and to find a quiet corner to relax in. We didn't make full use of the different areas of the garden and its barbeque, but my daughter topped up her tan in comfort and privacy. My son had his telescope with him and was happy star gazing from the glass veranda while my daughter-in-law said that Samphire is stunning. What a find! Trevone bay is just a brisk walk away and is beautifully rugged - our 4 week old baby had her first visit to a beach here! Thank you so much for your approachable friendliness. Your local knowledge was very useful.
