The UK’s Most Popular Tourist Attractions
The UK is one of the world’s most popular holiday destinations – and for good reason. Our museums and galleries are some of the best in the world, the countryside is wild and beautiful, and our breath-taking coastline is never more than 70 miles away.
We’ve put together an infographic of the UK’s most popular tourist attractions, based on data from Visit England. The list showcases the very best of Britain’s cultural, natural, and historical attractions, from ancient monuments to rolling green hills.
According to Visit England’s survey, the most popular attraction was London’s British Museum, closely followed by the National Gallery and Natural History Museum. However, the list isn’t confined to the capital, with attractions from across the country making an appearance. Indeed, Cornwall’s own Eden Project – with some 850,000 visitors a year – is featured.
