Top 5 Romantic Restaurants in Cornwall

The Pandora Inn

The Pandora Inn – Falmouth

Ok, so we go on about The Pandora Inn quite a lot, but for very good reason! We’ve had fantastic meals there ourselves and many of our guests have reported back that our recommendation was spot-on. Perched beside the Restronguet Creek, this award winning pub overcame a tragic fire in 2011 and has still managed to sensitively restore and retain many of its 13th century features. Food is served all day with plenty of homely nooks inside to tuck yourself into for a meal, or enjoy the fresh air and view outside on the pontoon.

We Recommend: The vegetable and blue cheese bubble & squeak topped with poached duck egg and cider cream.

Stay: Fern, The Emerald

Bridge Bistro – Wadebridge

Bridge Bistro Wadebridge

Named after Wadebridge’s famous 15th century bridge, Bridge Bistro was built in 1840. Originally utilised as a library and reading room the chapel-like building provides a warm and cosy atmosphere, fantastic service and delicious food. The restaurant maintains a strong loyalty from both locals and visitors for further afield. As you would expect, all food is locally sourced and freshly prepared in-house.

We recommend: The Cornish smoked duck salad with beetroot and horseradish.

Stay: The Watermill

Rojano’s in the Square – Padstow

Rojano's Padstow

Rojano’s in the Square is a firm favourite in the Perfect Stays office. Run by Derek Mapp & Paul Ainsworth, this quaint restaurant adds yet another string to Padstow’s culinary bow. Serving up delicious Italian dishes within laidback surroundings (and the friendliest staff this side of the Camel!) this is a great choice if you want exceptional food at a reasonable cost.

We recommend: The Sicilian Arancini starter – every time!

Stay: Samphire

The Dining Room – Rock

The Dining Room, Rock

The Dining Room is a bit of a hidden gem in Rock. Run by couple Fred & Donna, The Dining Room is an adorable restaurant, offering exceptional fine dining in a completely relaxed atmosphere. Diners are encouraged to sit back, take in the atmosphere and enjoy the local food and wines as, unlike many restaurants, there is usually just one sitting so your table is yours all evening.

We recommend: Pan fired fillet of wild sea bass, crab and potato, wild mushrooms, pennywort. (Menu changes frequently).

Stay: Rosemain

Lusty Glaze Beach Restaurant – Newquay

Lusty Glaze Beach

Set right on the beach, Lusty Glaze is a popular restaurant all year round. Winner of the Tripadvisor award for excellence, this chic beach hut dishes up a locally sourced, fresh menu every day. Diners will adore the relaxed and charming atmosphere of this white-painted beach hut with homely lounge surrounding an adorable cream wood burner at one end. Regular acoustic performances by the fire make this the perfect beachside restaurant for a special Valentine’s Day meal, and, specialising in ultimate beach weddings, Lusty Glaze may inspire some to pop the question!

We recommend: Chocolate and toasted marshmallow board. (Menu changes frequently).
