The Lewinnick Lodge was originally built for the staff that worked in a nearby manor house and it was accidently built on the wrong side of the headland, (personally we think this is the better side). Perched right on the edge of Pentire Headland the views are striking as you look up over the Atlantic Ocean toward Fistral Bay; it feels like you’re in a boat rather than on land.
The breakfast and lunch menu are being served as usual during the day, but there is a special Valentine’s menu which has been created for the evening. With plenty of plates to choose from, piled high with local produce, each dish will be cooked to perfection by Head Chef Richard Humphries, who brings a wealth of Cornish produce knowledge to the table. Described as a ‘seductive celebration of a five course sumptuous dinner’, Fifteen have pulled out all the stops with a fabulous evening full of food and wine and, for no extra, sunset and waves. Located just above Watergate Bay, Fifteen has floor to ceiling windows for you to absorb the unspoilt views of the bay, a fun and friendly team to ensure your evening runs smoothly and a menu of romantic recipes. Located at the top of Mawgan Porth with stunning views over beach, watch the day go by or sun go down as you indulge in a three course meal at the Scarlet Restaurant. The Scarlet Hotel, and its sister hotel Bedruthan Steps, take great pride in the ingredients which they use for their high impact flavours, endeavouring to only use locally sourced, fresh produce. Starts, such as terrine of Terras Farm duck and mains of wild sea bass and glassed roots will feature on the menu. And if that didn’t get your taste buds tingling, a choice of desserts including, vanilla panna cotta with pears poached in blackcurrant, basil and lime, will round off the evening perfectly.
