Living Room

There’s no doubt that the sleek and supple BoConcept leather sofas and the beachy decor harmonise with Doyden’s beachside location, with bi-fold doors opening out on to a large decked balcony overlooking Polzeath Beach. But, when the winter months close in, the freestanding central wood burning fire becomes the focal point of the room and transforms this sunny beach house into a cosy storm-watching retreat.

A striking original artwork hanging on one wall depicts a blissful beachside scene, a premonition of the similarly blissful Polzeath Beach beyond it.

Taking a seat on one of the Charles Eames chairs around the Saarinen Tulip marble-topped table will make family mealtimes on holiday truly special.

Activities on your doorstep

With plenty to explore right on the doorstep of Doyden, as well as a little further afield, we’ve rounded up the best activities for all ages to enjoy. From award-winning local restaurants to picture-perfect beaches and fantastic family days out, take a look at what’s nearby to make your stay truly unforgettable. Our fantastic concierge team and dedicated holiday planners will also be happy to help you book anything you’d like to do throughout your stay.

Once we had made the decision to contact Perfect Stays then everything fell into place for what proved to be a fantastic stay and holiday break. The excellent help and information from my 1st enquiry right through to the efficient booking process was then matched by a text message on our day of arrival saying that luckily we could access the property early. As this was the only period of rain we had all week, it was a welcome message. This property truly has the “wow” factor and surpassed our expectations as soon as we opened the door. The attention to detail and level of quality was extremely high. This includes the really interesting books and journals that were available. The welcome food pack was a lovely touch. Without doubt the balcony and view was the absolute high point of the property. We had amazing weather and were on the balcony every day.We were also surfing every day with the short stroll to the beach and then extra touches like the “hot water” outside shower that were very much appreciated. Plus the surfboard and equipment storage was perfect. So, a huge thank you from the Root family because you helped turn a very difficult period for our family into a wonderful escape.

The Root Family

What a beautiful house- wonderful setting with amazing views. The house is kitted out with everything you could possibly want and is wonderfully comfortable. Will definitely recommend to others and hope to visit again. Even though it was a cold February weekend, the house was cosy and warm and the company very entertaining. Thanks for a fabulous stay!

Annette & Matt

Just had an amazing 2 weeks, weather was a bit mixed but we didn’t seem to notice with the gorgeous views and great surf! The girls did the surf school every morning at 8 am – which was a shock! We spent the evenings playing games and watching films. We all LOVE the house and cant wait to come back. Other highlights include The Fisherman’s Friends in Port Issac, Outlaws fish kitchen, Decksteppers above TJ’s ( Best ever Oreo milkshake ), walking to Rock and a lovely BBQ on Daymer Bay!

The Hulbert Family

We had a wonderful fortnight staying in your wonderful house. Even though the weather was mixed, everyone very much enjoyed everything Polzeath and the area had to offer, we loved how well fitted out the house was.

The Buchanan Family, Cambridge

We have always loved this part of Cornwall, so this new addition was immediately interesting. And what an elegant and sophisticated atmosphere you have made! You have clearly taken great care and it shows, and that makes staying here a real joy; even in January! We have already booked our next visit! This time with friends to show off our discovery.

The Manuel Family, Weston Super Mare

Thank you so much for allowing us to spend a wonderful week in your fabulous house – you have considered everything! Thank you and I’m sure we will return.

The Bailey Family, Chislehurst

Fabulous self catering house and lots to do in the area. Special thanks to Rebecca at Perfect Stays for helping to arrange our daughters’ surprise visit from Scotland to celebrate my husband’s 70th birthday.

The Logan Family, Galashiels

Thank you so much for sharing your home. We have had a lovely week. The house is very comfortable and well equipped and we were very greatful for the delicious scones! We took the ferry to Padstow to eat at St Petroc’s Bistro and had lobster at Surfside – both to be recommended. Body boarding and surfing were fun and it was great not to have to drive everywhere. Many thanks.

The Petty Family, Surrey

We’ve had a lovely week in Polzeath. House is great with lots of thoughtful touches and everything we needed for our stay. All to such a high standard! We found best places to eat were Surfside and the Mowhay, but need to book. Thank you!

The Adams Family, Kent

What an absolutely wonderful house to spend our week in! The views are stunning and the surfing is most enjoyable. Some lovely walks along the beach, but watch out for rocks in the sea. Great week by the beach, great place to live. Hopefully will come again soon. Thank you!

The Raynor Family, Kent

Lovely house. Very well equipped. Easy access to everything. We will definitely come back.

The Adam Family, Essex

We are the first to be here and we would so much like to stay longer! Such a bright and comfortable home, and the views from the sitting room, across visters of countryside, bring just that peace and tranquility a holiday needs. It is so relaxing to walk down the paths to the beach without getting car out – then, if you’re energetic, across the cliffs to Daymer Bay and Betjemen’s Church and across the sand dunes to Rock and the Padstow ferry. Everything that we needed was to a very high standard – a week of walks, fine weather and delicious seafood! We will be back!

Marian & Clive, Streatley-on-Thames

A very tastefully furnished house. Very comfortable. Wonderful sea views, plenty of scenic walks and attractive towns within easy reach. A super place for a special English seaside holiday. We look forward to returning.

The Albert Family, Surrey

Had a lovely time, the house is gorgeous and the views amazing. Such a nice town – would love to come back.

The Gregg Family, London

I just wanted to say what a wonderful time we had staying at Doyden over the half term week this year.  The property is amazing, so relaxing with really high end finishes and the layout is perfect.  The view form the balcony is excellent and so relaxing.  We also used the concierge serve to book restaurants this year which worked really well and made life even easier.  We look forward to returning next year.
