Upon opening the front door of Porth Enys House, you enter the main hallway with its wooden floor, antique desk and funky mirror. But, your eyes instantly focus on the incredible sea view that you can see through the lounge to your left and that’s where you tend to walk straight to!
As you would expect with these awesome sea views, the whole room points to the large windows so you can just sit and take in the ever changing moods of the sea and the marine craft that sail by. There is a mixture of antique cupboard and tables to the rear of the room and there is also a single chair, twin settee and three seat settee Natuzzi Italian yellow leather seats. On winter nights there is a Firebox wood burner that can be lit and the logs are provided as part of the rental. To help take in the stunning views, there is also a set of antique style binoculars on a stand that can help you see for a fair few miles! There is also a flat screen TV with blue tooth connectivity and radio.
The conservatory houses is really the dining room and it is probably the most used room in the house. Again you have the most incredible outlook onto the sea and there is two cream leather chairs and a twin settee for you to sit and take in the view. The dining table is a lovely large solid wood table with a mix of cream and black leather high back chairs. Hanging over the table is a double ornamental metal light fitting. You can access the gardens via two of the glass conservatory doors.
Cooking with a view! The kitchen units are a mix of stylish cream coloured laminate and stainless steel doors. There is a huge amount of storage in this kitchen as the units flow around the corner up to the entrance of the conservatory. Appliances include; 1.5 double oven, ceramic hob, stainless steel extractor, dishwasher, two microwaves, intergrated freezer, integrated double fridge and a free standing double fridge. For those that like to cook and watch televsion, there is also a flatsreen television in the kitchen and to increase the already light kitchen, there is a small square glass ceiling that looks up to the 1st floor balcony.
Porth Enys House has a serious home cinema system with a 10ft screen, B&W speakers x 7.1, Denon DVD player, Yahama amps and ceiling mounted projector. In addition to that it has a great Sky television package that includes Sky Sports and Sky Movies. You can also play your iPOD through the surround system for a real wired to sound effect! Master Bedroom with En-suite & Walk in Dressing Room
All the bedrooms at Porth Enys House have sea views where you can lie in bed and look out to sea. This bedroom is the same and it has two large patio doors to look out of. The LH patio door opens out onto the 1st floor balcony area. The bedroom is a really good size and well equipped for luxury with an excellent Vi-Spring 6ft bed, two bedside cabinets, chaise longe, pieces of occasional furniture and a convex wall mirror. There is also a flat screen wall mounted television with Freeview television.
The en-suite shower room is excellent with a large walk in shower enclosure, fitted white vanity units with designer white china sink, mirrored wall units, mirror and a WC.
Walk in dressing room – This is a great feature of the master bedroom as there is a long room which has been racked out to store and hang clothes. There is also a dressing table area with a lit mirror.

The en-suite has white sanitary ware with a corner shower cubicle, WC, vanity units with inset whit vanity basin and a feature wall hung mirror.

The bed set up is two single 3ft beds and there is also a bedside cabinet, six drawer storage unit and corner triple wardrobe. The en-suite contains a corner shower cubicle, WC, towel rail, long wall mirror and a vanity sink unit with feature white bowl.
Bedroom Four – En-suite Cloakroom & Balcony
This bedroom probably has the best sea view of all the bedrooms purely as it is higher up and the glass windows and French doors at the sea end of the room are the dominant feature. The French doors open out onto a small balcony where you can watch the world sail by or lie in bed and do the same! The bed is Vi-Spring king size and it is cleverly pushed forward so that it maximises the view with a dwarf wall that divides up the bedroom from the dressing room area. The dressing room area has a tall dressing table, corner fitted wardrobes and feature decorative lights. The en-suite has a WC and fitted vanity unit with a granite top and inset sinks. Opposite this room is the main bathroom.
The main bathroom is very large and is beautifully finished and has an oak floor. There is a large designer bath with side floor mounted taps and shower attachment. The walk in shower is a shower with a view as you can see the sea through the Velux window! At the far end of the bathroom there is a chaise longe and a few glass topped tables and a glass vanity style unit. The WC and stylish glass wall hung sink is in a side part of the bathroom but when washing your hands, you can look out to the sea!
The Lookout is a separate building beneath the sun terrace which has been engineered to maximise the incredible sea view from the bed, balcony or both! To access The Lookout, you just walk from the conservatory, down a few steps and around to your right.
This lovely building also has a good sized en-suite as well as a dressing area. The Super king multi media bed also has a flatscreen that is cleverly mounted within the end of the bed that pops up on demand and it has an iPOD dock.

There is a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities in The Lookout with a supply of tea, coffee and sugar, so that you can enjoying a relaxing morning drink on the balcony before heading up to the house! There is also a bistro table with two chairs as well as two sun loungers.
Porth Enys House sits in an elevated position within it’s own 20 acres and it also has its own 1/3 mile shoreline although there is no beach or shoreline to walk on. For many years Porth Enys House estate was a major flower provider in the UK which ceased in the 1960’s when Holland started exporting their flowers very competitivelly. The owners today still allows just a few local people to use the small parts of the land for various small projects including a small vineyard, potter and vegetable grower although you probably won’t see them and you may not find where they work either!
The incredible 20 acres of land runs from right to left of the house and down the hill to the sea edge. There are many paths that lead across and down to the sea boundary which takes you into mini woodlands, small fields, meadows, sheltered parcels of land and more. Walking these path is truly amazing as there are many places to sit and look out at the sea. You may catch a glimpse of a few of the local deer population.
Through the network of paths you can see the sea from just about where ever you are within the 20 acres. There is no beach or area where you can walk alongside the sea except in one area where, at your own risk, you access some of the flat rocks right on the sea. This is tidal and the currents are quite strong and only for people good on their feet and not less abled people or young children. This area is to be avoided unless the sea is flat and the rocks are dry.
Porth Enys House is set within it’s own 20 acres and it also has its own 1/3 mile shoreline although there is no beach or shoreline to walk on. See Estate plan for more details.
Immediately outside Porth Enys House there is:
There is a detached building outside that houses the washing machine, tumble drier, ironing board, iron and the storage for seat covers for garden furniture. There is also a pool table in this building for guests use.
The greenhouse is quite large and the house gardener grows a number of things including oranges! Guests are welcome to use whatever vegetables or fruit are growing if it’s ripe.
Rear Deck & Outside WC
To the back of the property there is a small deck area that still has great sea views and is somewhere to chill out and relax. Just off the deck there is also an external WC.
Just about everywhere in the immediate garden has stunning sea views! There are lawned areas that are raised in different parts by small stone walls. One of the best places to sit is on the flat area by the flag pole where you can watch the ships sail by whilst protected from any wind by the glass screens. Located within the garden are a number statues, sculptures and creative works including a metal tree, various animals and a granite ball. There is also a table with 10 chairs and several sun loungers.
To the right of the garden there is a large pond which is there for ornamental reasons only. There is no screening or fencing around this pond so any guests with young children will need to supervise any young children at all times.
There is ample of parking at Porth Enys House and you could easily fit six or seven cars on the drive.
