Trewhella enjoys an enviable position mere steps to the beach, and just a short stroll into the village. Those partial to real ales, friendly company and wood fires will be charmed by the local 400 year old thatched pub, the Old Albion Inn. Guests will instantly feel at home arriving to this chocolate-box village and pulling up to the wood clad exterior of this exceptional home. Set over three floors, every consideration has been taken to create a blissful retreat. Formerly the vicarage for the iconic 6th Century church nearby, Trewhella is an intrinsic part of Crantock’s history and has been beautifully modernised to welcome large family groups. Spend sociable summer evenings bubbling away in the hot tub or take to the balcony to enjoy afternoon tea with pretty garden views.

The master occupies the picturesque top floor attic room, the occupiers of which will relish the private roof terrace – a stunning spot to catch the sunrise. Boasting a bright open plan design with an abundance of social space, including a lounge, media room and snug – boasting Smart TVs, a Sonos music system and Xbox 360 – groups will find plenty of room to spread out, entertain and convene together with ease.

Crantock is a beautiful coastal village, imbued with the rustic charm of huddling whitewashed thatched cottages and sandy paths winding through warm dunes, parting to reveal an expanse of powdery beach and a distant tumbling sea. The mesmerising Gannel estuary a paradise for kayakers and stand up paddle boarders, while children splash in the azure shallows warmed by the day’s sun.

Like many beautiful properties, Trewhella’s kitchen is the centrepiece of this luxury holiday home. A spacious kitchen island provides the idyllic social set-up, dotted with bar stools and overlooking an airy seating area around the wood fire, surrounded by ambrosial views of the wraparound gardens and meadow. Numerous Velfac doors slide open to welcome the outside in, and a Sonos wireless music system sets the soundtrack for the holiday.

Everything has been considered for the practicality of catering for large group meals, with double Neff ovens, Neff induction hob, American-style fridge freezer, dishwasher and instant boil Quooker tap – no-fuss, no-wait tea rounds!

Please note: guests with pacemakers should avoid using the induction hob as this can interfere with the device.

Dining

Gather together for a family banquet around the dining table, seating up to 10.

Living Area

Sink into the sumptuous corner sofa and relax with the latest block buster release on the Smart TV, complete with Sky HD. Adults will appreciate this comfortable lounge space to retire to after dinner while the children can enjoy their own evening of entertainment in the additional TV Room complete with Xbox 360.

Utility

Practicality is the purpose of any utility room, and Trewhella’s is just that. Accessible from outside via the external storage, return form long walks along the network of public footpaths or a day in the surf and jump straight into the monsoon shower. Here guests will also find a washing machine and tumble dryer.

TV Room

A complementary addition to the Living Area, the TV Room will ensure there will be no clashes with the evening’s television schedule. Equipped with a Smart TV, Xbox 360 and Sonos music system, adults and children will find everything they need for a cosy night in. This room can also double up as a sixth bedroom with a double sofa bed to accommodate up to 12 adults or any guests that may prefer to sleep on the ground floor.

The enormous gravel driveway can comfortably accommodate 4 – 5 cars.

Hot tubs: *Please note the hot tub is emptied and cleaned out after every booking. Occasionally this may result in the hot tub not being up to maximum temperature on the first night of your arrival.
