Occupying an idyllic and exclusive coastal location, Waterside features sensational views over the Salcombe Estuary and across the sparkling seas beyond. Set over three floors, this distinctive property takes full advantage of its stunning outlook. The charming balcony is set right on the waters edge, and there’s nothing more peaceful than watching the sailing boats and yachts passing by on a breezy summers day.

With a delightful contrast of rustic nautical features and sleek contemporary fittings, Waterside has been lovingly finished to an extremely high standard. Every space has been designed with socialising and relaxation in mind, from the cosy living area to the stylish breakfast bar looking out across the estuary. The entire top floor is open plan, but the cleverly zoned living spaces create an extraordinarily intimate feel.

One of the shining stars of Waterside is the cinema room, which features a massive projector screen, atmospheric lighting, exposed wood panelling and royal blue furnishings. There’s no better place to hole up in stormy weather and luxuriate in comfort. The three spacious bedrooms are gorgeously styled in a combination of rustic and chic coastal décor. Elegant and sleek, the two en-suites and one family bathroom add an extra touch of sophistication to the design. Flexible sleeping accommodation in the cinema room increases the property capacity to eight guests.

Located near the charming Salcombe Harbour and with the South West Coast Path on its doorstep, Waterside is perfectly situated for discovering the best South West Devon has to offer. Just a short walk, sail or boat ride from some of Devon’s prettiest swimming beaches and with outdoor steps leading straight down to the crystal blue waters, this coastal property is a water sports haven. Waterside is also just a short five minute stroll from the heart of Salcombe and its range of boutiques, galleries, cafés and restaurants.

Kitchen

Sleek and stylish, the kitchen at Waterside is well-equipped with the latest gadgets and built-in appliances. From the cream Nespresso Magimix machine to the four-berth Dualit toaster, every device has been hand-picked with convenience in mind. Edged with soft lighting, the breakfast bar invites socialising. With two glossy bar stools and a five ring Miele gas hob looking out across the estuary, it’s the perfect place to whip up a meal with a glass of wine in hand. There’s plenty of space for storing everything you’ll need in the large fridge and freezer, and the double Miele ovens and dishwasher make eating in a pleasure rather than a chore.

Dining Area

The spacious dining table is crowned by an array of exposed lightbulbs draped from loops of multi-coloured rope. Set against a wall of exposed wooden panelling covered in seascape paintings, the dining area reflects the surrounding marine landscape perfectly. With an abundance of room for six guests, it’s an ideal spot for savouring a meal with family and friends whilst taking in the stunning view.

Lounge

The thoughtful design of Waterside is showcased in the comfortable and elegant lounge. The seating area features an ornamental EcoSmart log burner at one end and a Samsung curved TV with Sky HD at the other. If you’d rather spend your evenings socialising, the TV is cleverly concealed by a sliding wall of books. With a delightful mix of fabrics, patterns and textures, there’s something unbelievably sumptuous and chic about the lounge at Waterside. Open up the sliding doors and snatch a moment of tranquility by curling up in the reading chair with a good book from the property’s extensive collection.

Balcony

Located in an unbeatable position on the edge of Salcombe Estuary, the view from Waterside’s balcony is truly extraordinary. Across the sparkling waterway are rolling hills, mature woodlands and little golden coves. There’s the charming Salcombe Harbour to the north and panoramic sea views to the south. It’s impossible to tire of watching the array of kayaks, paddle boards and boats drift past on the gentle tidal currents. There’s nothing better than lying back on one of the loungers and drifting away to a soundtrack of gently rolling waves and the call of seagulls.

Family Bathroom

The sizeable family bathroom serves the ground floor bedroom and benefits from a large bath and waterfall shower, perfect for a quiet and relaxing soak at the end of the day.

With interior details such as rustic wooden-edged prints, a textured sandy-coloured rug and a driftwood table, this gorgeously designed bedroom mirrors the coastal surroundings. The zip and link bed can be made up as a super king or twin, which adds flexibility to the sleeping arrangements. With an abundance of storage space, a Siemens iQ300 washer and separate dryer as well as a ceiling mounted clothes airer, the utility room is both practical and spacious.

Location

Located right on the edge of the beautiful Salcombe Estuary, Waterside is within a five minute walk of Salcombe Harbour and its array of restaurants, boutique shops and cafes. This coastal haven is set just below the Salcombe Harbour Hotel and Spa, and non-hotel guests can utilise the luxurious facilities on offer, from the gorgeous hotel spa and gym (passes available to purchase through our concierge service) to the fabulous rooftop restaurant and bar. Waterside also features access to the tidal estuary via a slipway, and there’s nothing better than going for a gentle stroll alongside the water at low tide.

Parking

There is a convenient allocated parking space in the Salcombe Harbour Hotel and Spa car park. During quieter periods, an additional parking space may be available at the discretion of the hotel reception. The hotel porters can also arrange for an additional two cars to be taken to the nearby park and ride.

Access to Waterside

Please note: Waterside is set right on the waters edge and access to the property is via several flights of steps. For this reason, we would not recommend Waterside to guests with limited mobility and young children should be supervised when using the outdoor areas.

Our inclusive concierge team and holiday planners will be able to help you book anything that you want to do during your perfect stay.

Concierge Services

We provide an inclusive concierge service to all our guests staying at any of our luxury holiday homes. Just think of all that time that we can save you making dinner reservations, organising a chef, booking the kids in for surf lessons, or we can just be a resource for the lowdown on everything local!

There is no additional charge for this telephone concierge service and we do not mark up any services that we procure for you. It's our most highly rated and talked about service and if you want us to help organise anything for your stay, just call us for more information.

Additional Housekeeping

We can offer a whole range of additional housekeeper services to suit you and your individual requirements. If you are looking for daily or regular housekeeping during your stay, or perhaps more frequent linen and towel changes, then this can normally be provided by our housekeeping partners.

There will be a local service charge to pay to the housekeeping company although our concierge team can organise this for you. n.b. Some housekeeping companies do not always work on Sundays and have a minimum service time.

Authentic Thai and Indian

Learn to cook … Indian and Thai food in the luxury of your Perfect Stays holiday home. A chef tutor will visit the house with all the necessary ingredients to teach you the tricks of the trade, or work with you on any particular dish you wish to master.

The great thing about learning within one of our houses is that not only is there no travelling, it’s a much more personal experience. You also cook the food ready for you and the other house guests to enjoy later! Prices start from £75 per person, minimum of two participants although one to one lessons can be agreed.

Babysitting

Babysitting or childcare can be a very important part of a stay, particularly if you want to go to perhaps a great fine dining restaurant or maybe spend the day on non child friendly activities.

We have access to a number of childcare professionals or local babysitters that are close to all our properties. n.b. Due to insurance reasons, we only pass on names and numbers and leave you to make the final decision on who to employ.

Bike Hire

If you don’t want to bring your bikes with you on your stay, we can hire them for you and have them delivered to the house. If you just want to turn up at one location and cycle to another, our cycle hire partner can also deliver and collect them from any location in Cornwall.

There are a whole range of different bikes and accessories that can be hired including bike child seats! All bikes also come with helmets, locks, puncture repair kits, pumps and spare inner tubes.

Board and Kayak Hire

If you need to hire surf boards, paddle boards or kayaks for the duration or part of your stay, we can organise this for you.

We can source surfboards suitable for all abilities, such as foam boards for beginners. Kayaks are a great way of exploring the incredible coastline and waterways near your holiday home.

The general requirement is that you must be able to swim before you can hire any equipment. We strongly recommend that you always obtain professional lessons before ever taking to the water, which we can also organise for you.

Boat Trips

Whether it’s a private boat charter to enjoy a relaxing afternoon exploring the coastline, a day out at sea to catch some fish for dinner, or a high speed ride on a rib searching for wildlife, we can arrange it for you!

Private group trips are available and trips range from 2 hours to full days. Ask our concierge team for more details.

Bread Making and Baking

Learn to cook … bread in the luxury of your Perfect Stays holiday home. A chef tutor will visit the house with all the necessary ingredients and teach you the tricks of the trade, or work with you on any particular type of bread you wish to master.

Chef Prepared Dinners

Chef Prepared Dinners service is a very flexible bespoke food service. Simply discuss the food you would like with one of our partner chefs, they will prepare it and deliver it to you on an agreed day, together with cooking instructions!

All you have to do is turn on the cooker for items that need cooking, follow a few simple instructions and hey presto, a gourmet banquet is on the table! As well as gourmet food, you can also order simple homemade dishes. We have limited availability so always book early.

Fish and Shellfish

Grocery Shopping

To save all the bother and important car space, we can normally arrange for your groceries to be delivered and packed away in the fridge, freezer and cupboards before your arrival.* This is a great way to start your stay and avoids the big shop on arrival and all that unnecessary time!

There is normally a small local service charge for this service although it always works best if we use one of our local grocery shop partners. *National supermarket deliveries normally need to be delivered after your arrival unless agreed in advance with our local services company.

Massage and Beauty

If you would like to visit a spa during your stay, we can recommend the best local spa to visit and book treatments for you. If you would like a massage, facial or manicure in the privacy of a Perfect Stays holiday home, we can arrange for the masseuse/therapist to come to you. Our trained and professional service partners bring everything required to help you unwind and de-stress.

The therapists can normally offer a variation of different massages, a range of facial treatments, manicures and pedicures. Call our concierge team for more details.

Learn to cook … Patisserie in the luxury of your Perfect Stays holiday home. A chef tutor will visit the house with all the necessary ingredients and teach you the tricks of the trade, or work with you on any particular pastry you wish to master.

The great thing about learning within one of our houses is that not only is there no travelling involved, it’s a much more personal experience. You also cook the food ready for you and the other house guests to enjoy later! Prices start from £75 per person, minimum of two participants, although one to one lessons can be agreed.

Private Chef Service

Would you like a professional chef to come and cook during your stay for a one-off special occasion? Maybe for a few nights, or even the whole week? Does the thought of having a delicious gourmet experience during your stay where the menu is designed to your exacting requirements strongly appeal?

We work with a small number of highly experienced chefs that can provide food to the very highest standards and in addition to preparing and serving gastronomic delights, they also clean and wash up afterwards! This is our most popular in-house service, we recommend booking early to prevent any disappointment.

Restaurant Reservations

Our concierge team can recommend the best restaurants in the area to help you get the most out of your stay and we’ll even take care of all of the reservations for you too.

Let us know where you would like to go and we can take all of the hassle out of organising your group and make those all important bookings on your behalf. We have great connections with all of the local restaurants so where possible we will make sure you get the best table and that all your needs are catered for.

Surf Lessons

When in Cornwall, it’s difficult to resist the temptation get into the water and give surfing a go, so we can recommend the best local surf schools and private surf coaches to help you get the most out of surf lessons during your stay.

Whether you would like one-on-one coaching, to enjoy lessons as a private group or join in with larger groups at a surf school, we can help find the right fit for you. Just contact our concierge team for more details.

The Wine Merchant

To save space in the car, allow us to stock the wine fridge up for your arrival. We work with a small number of local wine merchants who will deliver to your Perfect Stays holiday home or work with our local services company to get the deliveries to you.

As well as being a space and time saving service, it can also give you greater access to locally made wines and spirits which you may not have come across before.

Transport

If you decide to fly or get the train to your holiday home destination we can help to organise car hire for your stay to help you explore the local area. We can also book taxis for transfers to and from the airport/train station, as well as booking taxis to get you to and from your dinner reservations or for any other reason you may require one.

Our concierge team are on hand from the point of booking right up to the end of your stay so please do contact us if you would like any help at all.

Watersports

Our concierge team can advise on all local watersport activities available such as stand up paddleboarding, jet skis, kayaking, coasteering, waterskiing, wakeboarding, ringos, sailing, powerboat courses and much more.

We can book lessons for you and liaise with individual watersport companies to ensure the service is tailored to your ability and experience.
