Three days of family fun

Taking place in Wadebridge in June each year, The Royal Cornwall Show spans over three days and celebrates all things Cornish. From local produce and flower shows to steam fairs and tractor shopping, there’s a niche experience awaiting around every corner. Grab a bite to eat and indulge in delicious Cornish delicacies, from pasties to hot sandwiches, pub favourites and ciders. If you're still hungry, head to the Food and Farming Pavilion for high-quality sweet treats.

Embrace Cornish life

Of course, the show isn’t all about feasting and spectating. Located in a showground, ramble your way through the stalls and shows, soaking up the local atmosphere that radiates from the event. Sing along to live music, feel nostalgic with a funfair ride and bop along to the Cornwall Festival of Dance.

Centred around agriculture, the show hosts a wonderful celebration of farming. Head to the Steam Fair and enjoy the many exhibits, sounds and machinery that is on offer. Immerse yourself in the rich heritage of farming as you explore vintage tractor’s and showman’s engines.

For the children, let them embark on an exciting scarecrow hunt across the showground. A small participation fee will keep them entertained for the whole day, with a special prize on offer for the winner.

Make a long weekend of it

With so much to see and do, it’s near impossible to cram it all into one day, making it the perfect excuse for a short break to North Cornwall. Reside in a traditional watermill nestled in acres of countryside or soothe achy limbs in bubbling hot tubs with a well deserved glass of Cornish fizz.
