If you’re looking for something a little more sophisticated and pre-organised, there are several places in Newquay where you can bring in the New Year in style.
Lewinnick Lodge is hosting a fancy dress, iconic magicians throughout time, themed party for £58 per person. Indulge in a delicious 3-course meal, enjoy the entertainment and take in their infamous cliff top location overlooking Fistral Beach.

Gather on the harbour front, where the celebrations are centered, and get tempted by the smell of freshly cooked food from one of the many food stalls. Enjoy the echo of live music that fills the streets and come together as the clock strikes 12 to watch the fireworks light up the whole harbour.
Tregenna Castle offers partygoers the chance to indulge in a pre-party 2 or 3-course meal served from 4 pm, with a prize for the best dressed. Coming in at a reasonable £29.50 for 3-courses and £24.95 for 2-courses, it’s the perfect place to enjoy excellent food before strolling into the centre of St Ives for an evening full of festivities.
St Ives Harbour Hotel is hosting an impressive 5-courses at their Gala Dinner, which includes live music performances and a DJ, not to mention a sensational view of the fireworks. The cost of this is £79.95 per person.
If you prefer something more casual, Porthminster Café is offering their normal à la carte menu, which ranges in price from £35 to £80 per person- depending on your budget. Choose between two sittings: 5.45pm for the early birds and 9.00pm for those who prefer to dine later. Perfectly positioned on the beach, with the harbour on its left, this is a truly great place to enjoy the end of 2017.

Prefer a quieter New Year’s Eve in Cornwall? The charming harbour town of Mousehole promises a traditional Christmas atmosphere with cosy nooks in local pubs, open log fires and freshly prepared morsels to accompany that obligatory glass of Champagne
Now celebrating its 54th year, the Mousehole Christmas Lights are a well-known tradition and illuminate the intimate harbour village, attracting over 30,000 people during the festive period. The impressive exhibition uses roughly 7,000 bulbs and includes floating displays and a 160ft wide Christmas message in lights.
As well as the harbour lights, a modest firework display will light up Mousehole to celebrate the New Year and music will be heard in the streets from the two-piece band playing at The Ship Inn.
Quieter than the bigger town’s New Year’s festivities in Cornwall, but no less festive, The Old Coast Guard is hosting a Narnia themed evening of celebrations with an enormous food buffet, a drink on arrival and a local band, all for £70 per person.

Live bands, street entertainers, and radio station Heart FM will be creating a great family friendly atmosphere on the Quay from 6 pm in Bideford. Make an effort with your fancy dress and you could earn yourself prizes and discounts from several pubs if you’re crowned one of the best dressed.
As the clock chimes 12, come together and bring in 2018 with a spectacular firework display and a sing along to Auld Lang Syne.
Fancy a challenge? An old tradition in Bideford sees people dashing the length of the 13th Century Long Bridge before the last chime from St Mary’s Church at midnight.
