Contemporary and stylish, this glass-fronted barn conversion enjoys an idyllic setting above South Cornwall’s shores. Sleeping eight guests and welcoming dogs, it's home to sparkling views over St Austell Bay. Catch the sunrise from the first floor living area or take to the private outdoor pool for an early morning dip. 

An ode to its former life as a countryside barn, every room sits beneath timber beams and is finished in organic neutrals and linens. An upside-down design allows Daymarker to make the most of sprawling views from the first floor. The three downstairs bedrooms feel welcoming and serene, with each benefitting from their own en-suites. Start every day with a waterfall shower before joining the group for breakfast upstairs.

The open plan kitchen, living and dining area makes a heavenly social space for everyone to gather together. Perfect for groups, there’s a second living space, finished in coastal blues and whites, that calls for cosy movie nights after days by the pool. Next door, the fourth bedroom awaits under wood-clad ceilings with traditional interiors creating a cosy haven for two.

Enjoying both ocean and countryside views, the first floor balcony provides an idyllic spot for afternoon drinks and large sliding doors make it easy to welcome the outdoors through the seasons. What’s more, the grassy garden and heated swimming pool mean you can enjoy quality time as a family, no matter the weather. Opt for days spent away from the crowds in this little slice of paradise, or head out to discover the joys of South Cornwall just moments away.

The picturesque town of Fowey awaits after a short drive, while the sandy shores of Polkerris can be enjoyed within minutes. With four-legged friends in tow, climb the coast path from Coombe Haven and watch the yachts pass on the waters below, before stopping for a "shipwreck" ice cream from Readymoney Beach Café. For something more adventurous, cycle the trails at Woody's Bike Park (on-site) or head out onto the open water with Fowey River Hire for kayaking and sea safaris.

Master Bedroom with Terrace and En-suite

With floor-to-ceiling sliding doors leading directly onto the terrace and garden, the master bedroom makes an idyllic hideaway for couples. Flooded with sunlight, this king size room is bright and airy with views over the neighbouring countryside. Soft greys and pinks make up the interiors, while stone flooring lies underfoot. A walk-in dressing room provides plenty of hanging and storage space, while the en-suite bathroom features a walk-in waterfall shower.

Bedroom Two with En-suite

Finished in coastal blues and complementary neutrals, find a relaxing haven in bedroom two. Complete with a zip and link bed, the room can be made up as a super king or set twin depending on the group’s requirements. On arrival, unpack suitcases into the tall chest of drawers and wooden clothes rail, before refreshing in the en-suite’s walk-in shower.

 

Bedroom Three with En-suite 

Another light and welcoming room, bedroom three enjoys garden views from its floor-to-ceiling windows. With a king bed for laid back mornings, make the most of the countryside views by opening the blinds to let the daylight stream in. After days spent beside the pool, sink into the grey armchair to enjoy a quiet moment before joining the rest of the group for supper.

Bedroom three also benefits from a spacious en-suite bathroom. Wrapped up in fresh whites and delicate monochromes, it features a walk-in waterfall shower.

Open Plan Living, Kitchen and Dining Area

With a beautiful coast and countryside backdrop, the first floor is where everyone will fall in love with Daymarker. Whether it’s rolling fields, sparkling seas or the striped Gribbin Head lighthouse on the horizon, while away the hours soaking it all in. 

Seating eight guests, the dining table makes the most of the room’s views through large sliding doors. In the winter months, enjoy cups of tea and toast as the sun rises and douses the room in a golden glow. Or to truly savour the day, switch on the Nespresso Magimix and sink into one of the soft blue sofas with a novel and frothy coffee in hand.

The modern kitchen is fitted with white cabinetry and enjoys a large central island. Perfect for entertaining, it houses a Bosch stove so dinner parties are made even more sociable by being able to gather closeby. Queue favourite songs through the Sony Soundbar to fill the room with music and catch up with loved ones over appetizers. As the evening draws in, let the Bosch dishwasher take care of cleaning up, before descending the open-tread staircase to bed. 

Sea-view Terrace

On warmer days, open up the sliding doors and dine al fresco. With far-reaching views over the coast, lay the bistro table with fresh elderflower presse and charcuterie platters to enjoy as the sun glistens on distant shores.

 

Bedroom Four with En-suite

Providing a private sanctuary for two, bedroom four is flooded with plenty of natural light from three low windows. Adjacent to the living area, this zip and link super king room also has sloping wooden ceilings and tiled flooring underfoot. Cosy and endearing, soft yellows and blues complete this room’s interiors. 

Also enjoying a contemporary en-suite, wake up and head for the waterfall shower before starting the day.

TV Room

Set back from the rest of the upstairs is the second living area, which doubles up as a cosy TV den. Sitting under sloping ceilings and home to two large blue sofas, retreat here after supper for a family film on the Smart TV. 

Utility

Finished in clean whites and sleek monochrome tile, this spacious utility features an AEG washing machine and tumble dryer. There’s also an additional sink and plenty of storage for beach gear.

Outdoor Pool

Edged by planting and a large grassy lawn, the outdoor pool sits at the front of the property. Heated from April to October, begin each day with a swim while the sun is still low in the sky. Come afternoon, make special holiday memories as little ones splash in the water.

Sea-view Terrace

Accessed through sliding glass doors on the first floor, step out onto the elevated terrace for the first coffee of the day. With views over the pool to one side and glistening tides to the other, pull up a seat at the bistro table and allow yourself to truly switch off.

Lower Terrace and Garden

Located just outside of the master bedroom is a suntrap terrace. Seating eight, the large outdoor dining table enjoys views over the distant coastline while only being footsteps from the pool. During the summer months, soak up the sunshine on the lawn before clinking icy drinks at the table with everyone gathered together.

Parking

A generous driveway at the front of the house provides private parking for four cars.
