Located in one of the most sought after locations in Cornwall, Trehayl is an exceptional property situated in the exclusive Rock area of North Cornwall. Just a stone’s throw to Rock beach, this luxury holiday home can sleep up to 10 guests and boasts its own private, heated outdoor swimming pool (April – October).

The contemporary interior and structure of Trehayl has been carefully considered to make the most of those incredible views over the Camel Estuary to Padstow, with the living, dining and kitchen areas located on the first floor, opening out on to three terraced balconies for optimum views at any time of the day. The reversal or the interior rooms also means that all of the bedrooms are located on the ground floor.

The Ground Floor

The entrance hall to a home is the very first thing a guest will see, and the very last. The all-important impression of a luxury property lies in that first opening of the door. In that respect, Trehayl opens its welcoming arms wide and invites you to take a seat on the two plush double sofas, or tickle the ivories of the electric Yamaha piano. This is a great space to sit and wait for members of the party to finish getting ready for that dinner reservation.

Master Bedroom with En-suite

Bedroom One is superb master bedroom, although all of the bedrooms within this charming home are excellently sized. A centrally positioned, king size bed enjoys envious views of the Camel estuary through the sliding bi-fold doors that lead out onto the sun terrace.

Large built-in wardrobes provide an enormous amount of storage space, whilst the fantastic en-suite bathroom is excellently finished in contemporary monochrome, with twin wall-hung basins, a heated towel rail, enclosed shower and a deep bath tub for that well-deserved soak.

Bedroom Two with En-suite

Bedroom Two enjoys great views with a sliding bi-fold door providing access to the sun terrace and welcoming in plenty of natural light to this bright king size bedroom. A built-in wardrobe provides ample storage for clothing and luggage, and the en-suite shower room is fitted to the same high quality, monochrome finish with beautiful enclosed shower, wall-hung sink and WC.

Bedroom Three

This is an excellently sized twin bedroom, beautifully decorated with direct access to the outdoor heated swimming pool via the bi-fold door. A large wall mounted flat screen television (only operates with the PS2) is hung in the corner of the room, with a PS2 games console. Older children and the young at heart will be fighting over this poolside room.

Bedroom Four

Bedroom Four is the perfect room for additional guests and children. With two sets of bunk beds, this room conveniently sleeps four quite comfortably, with storage space for luggage and access to the garden and swimming pool.

Family Bathroom

The family bathroom, in effect, is dedicated to Bedroom’s Four & Three. In fitting with the en-suites of the other bedrooms, this is a spacious, contemporary bathroom finished in stylish monochrome with a deep bath tub, enclosed shower unit, WC, wash basin and wall hung heated towel rail. A great feature of the family bathroom is its quick and easy external access via the frosted external door, meaning guests can hop straight from the pool and into the shower.

Utility Room

As utility rooms go, this laundry-cum-kitchenette is absolutely adorable. Painted blue traditional kitchen units contain a host of crockery suitable for around the pool, whilst a fridge-freezer provides extra food storage and somewhere to store cold beverages for the poolside.

The utility also features a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and direct access to the outdoor swimming pool.

An impressive solid wood dining table, seating 10 guests, sits before bi-folding doors that open out onto a balcony terrace that invites that incredible view.

The best feature about the kitchen and dining area is that there are two separate spacious terraced balconies that command the best views of the Camel estuary in the house.

Please note: guests with pacemakers should avoid using the Induction Hob as this can interfere with the device.

Terrace

One of many terraces that surround the house, this first floor terrace leading from the kitchen enjoys spectacular views. A really great area to host an evening barbecue, or enjoy an evening drink, a round patio table with lazy Susan and a charcoal kettle barbecue make this the ideal spot for alfresco dining.

Lounge

The spacious and inviting lounge with warm engineered oak wood flooring also enjoys excellent estuary views via the dedicated decked balcony terrace. In the hot days of summer, throw back the bi-fold doors and let that estuary breeze fill this great room. When the days turn colder, the cast iron wood burning fire makes for a perfectly cosy evening curled up on one of the deep filled sofas with a good book or whilst watching the large SMART flat screen television with Sky and Blu Ray player.

Heated from April to October, the pool measures 9 x 5 metres and is 2 metres at its deepest end. Surrounded by sun loungers, guests can soak up the sun and take a dip as they please, whilst an outside table and chair provides yet another outdoor seating area and second kettle charcoal barbecue.

Garage and Parking

Parking is fairly restricted with room for two cars at best, although three can be parked at a squeeze. One of the cars would have to be parked inside the large garage.

Terraced Areas

There’s almost as much to enjoy outside of this stunning property as there is to enjoy inside, with four terraced areas to choose from, Trehayl ensures that you can enjoy the fine weather at any time of the day.

Every bedroom on the ground floor opens out on to either a terraced or garden area, with a large sun terrace to the front of the property leading up to the first floor terraced balcony and barbecue area.

Please note: To ensure the gardens at Trehayl stay looking lovely for all of our guests and to limit the number of leaves that may fall into the pool, a gardener attends Trehayl every Thursday.

    Follow the South West Coast Path around to the golden expanse of Daymer Bay and enjoy wonderful views from Brea Hill.

    Catch the water taxi (seasonal restrictions)from Padstow or drive to Wadebridge and you can hire bicycles, tandems and even baby buggy attachments to explore the beautiful and scenic Camel trail.

Additional Housekeeping

We can offer a whole range of additional housekeeper services to suit you and your individual requirements. If you are looking for daily or regular housekeeping during your stay, or perhaps more frequent linen and towel changes, then this can normally be provided by our housekeeping partners.

There will be a local service charge to pay to the housekeeping company although our concierge team can organise this for you. n.b. Some housekeeping companies do not always work on Sundays and have a minimum service time.

Babysitting

Babysitting or childcare can be a very important part of a stay, particularly if you want to go to perhaps a great fine dining restaurant or maybe spend the day on non child friendly activities.

We have access to a number of childcare professionals or local babysitters that are close to all our properties. n.b. Due to insurance reasons, we only pass on names and numbers and leave you to make the final decision on who to employ.

Bike Hire

If you don’t want to bring your bikes with you on your stay, we can hire them for you and have them delivered to the house. If you just want to turn up at one location and cycle to another then our cycle hire partner can also deliver and collect them from any location in Cornwall.

There are a whole range of different bikes and accessories that can be hired including bike child seats! All bikes also come with helmets, locks, puncture repair kits, pumps and spare inner tubes.

Board and Kayak Hire

If you need to hire surf boards, paddle boards or kayaks for the duration or part of your stay, then we can organise this for you.
We can source surfboards suitable for all abilities, such as foam boards for beginners. Kayaks are a great way of exploring the incredible coastline and waterways near your holiday home.

The general requirement is that you must be able to swim before you can hire any equipment. We strongly recommend that you always obtain professional lessons before ever taking to the water which we can also organise for you.

Boat Trips

Whether its a private boat charter to enjoy a relaxing afternoon exploring the coastline, a day out at sea to catch some big fish for your tea, or a high speed ride on a rib searching for wildlife, we can arrange it for you!

Private group trips are available and trips range from 2 hours to full days. Ask our concierge team for more details.

Bread Making and Baking

Chef Prepared Dinners

Chef Prepared Dinners is a very flexible bespoke food service. The way that it works is that you discuss what food you would like with one of our partner chefs, they prepare it and then deliver it to you on the agreed day, together with cooking instruction!

All you have to do is turn on the cooker for items that need cooking, follow a few simple instructions and then hey presto, a gourmet banquet is on the table! As well as gourmet food, you can also order simple homemade dishes as well. Limited availability so always book early.

Classic French Cuisine

Fish and Shellfish

To save all the bother and important car space, we can normally arrange for your groceries to be delivered and packed away in the fridge, freezer and cupboards before your arrival.* This is a great way to start your stay and avoids the big shop on arrival and all that un-necessary time!

There is normally a small local service charge for this service although it always works best if we use one of our local grocery shop partners. *National supermarket deliveries normally need to be delivered after your arrival unless agreed in advance with our local services company.

Massage and Beauty

If you would like to visit a spa during your stay we can recommend the best local spa to visit and book treatments for you. If you would like a massage, facial or manicure in the privacy of a Perfect Stays holiday home, then we can get the masseuse/therapist to come to you. Our trained and professional service partners bring everything that is required to help you unwind and de-stress.

Patisserie

We work with a small number of highly experienced chefs that can provide food to the very highest standards and in addition to preparing and serving gastronomic delights, they also clean and wash up afterwards! This is our most popular in-house service, we recommend booking early to prevent any disappointment.

The Wine Merchant

To save space in the car, allow us to stock the wine fridge up for your arrival. We work with a small number of local wine merchants who will deliver to your Perfect Stays holiday home or work with our local services company to get the deliveries to you.

As well as being a space and time saving service, it can also give you greater access to locally made wines and spirits which you may not have come across before.

Transport

If you decide to fly or get the train to your holiday home destination we can help to organise car hire for your stay to help you explore the local area. We can also book taxis for transfers to and from the airport/train station, as well as booking taxis to get you to and from your dinner reservations or for any other reason you may require one.

Watersports

Our concierge team can advise on all local watersport activities available such as stand up paddleboarding, jet skis, kayaking, coasteering, waterskiing, wakeboarding, ringos, sailing, powerboat courses and much more.

We can book lessons for you and liaise with individual watersport companies to help ensure the service is tailored to your ability and experience.

Wood Fired Pizza Experience

Wood Fired Pizzas are very tasty and take on average just 90 seconds to cook! Our partner chef will turn up to your Perfect Stays holiday home (in rain or shine!) and set up his mobile wood fired pizza oven and gazebos. After around an hour, it’s ready to go and pizza all round.

This is a real fun and interactive food experience that can involve the whole family. You can prepare the dough, decorate it with you personal pizza topping and then cook it as well.
