Home > Our Properties > Panorama
For those craving a blissful escape above Cornwall’s dramatic coastline, Panorama is a must-visit destination home with sea views, a sunken spa pool and a heated infinity pool.
  • Heated infinity pool
  • Sunken spa pool
  • Electric car charger
  • Sea views over Mawgan Porth
  • Outdoor kitchen and terrace
  • Walking distance to the beach

Rarely does a home provide equal amounts of fun and relaxation, where action-packed days meet total tranquility. And yet, nestled above the beach in the sought-after village of Mawgan Porth, Panorama does just that.

Outside, the heated infinity pool and sunken spa pool blend into the surrounding landscape, so guests can relax from the water while taking in the uninterrupted ocean views that give the house its name. Finished in limewashed tile and framed by coastal grasses, the enclosed dog-friendly garden makes a memorable setting for family get-togethers and barbeque feasts, complete with an outdoor kitchen. Thanks to Panorama’s south-facing terrace, sunworshippers can choose to unwind on a lounger, or retreat to the pool house for chilled drinks before supper. With a 55” TV, dressing table and sofa, plus beautiful interiors by Cornish designer Nicola O'Mara, this space is made for a moment’s quiet.

Sharing the same sea views, climb the open-tread staircase from the terrace to find the first floor living area. Split into four unique zones; one for cooking, one for dining and two for switching off, there’s plenty of space for guests to discover their favourite. The whole floor is edged by a glass-fronted balcony, so even those preparing dinner can soak up magical vistas with a cocktail in hand and dishes in the oven.

At one end, a wood burner and curved corner sofa are positioned to make the most of views over Mawgan Porth, while at the other, a 50” wall-mounted TV creates a laid back hangout for movie marathons. In the centre, the dove grey kitchen is thoughtfully set out to bring everyone together. Take a bottle of champagne from the wine cooling fridge and pull up a chair around the dining table as corks are popped.

When nighttime looms, tread sleepily to one of six ground floor bedrooms. With five enjoying direct access onto the terrace and pools, each one has been beautifully put together. You’ll find a super king size bed in the master suite, which is home to some of the best views in the house. Meanwhile, four zip and link rooms and one bunk provide versatile sleeping arrangements for couples, families and friends.

With restaurants, spas, beach shops and surf lessons all within walking distance, Panorama’s location means there’s little need to pick up the car keys during your stay. Mawgan Porth Beach is dog-friendly year-round and just 800 metres from the house. Or, for those tempted by adventures further afield, don’t miss golden sunsets at Watergate Bay, National Trust days out at Bedruthan Steps, and stone-baked pizzas at Lusty Glaze – all recommended by our in-house Concierge team.

Panorama is brand new to our portfolio - interactive floorplans plus additional photography and our professional video are coming soon.

More about theGround Floor

Master Bedroom with En-suite

A paradise in blue, the master bedroom has been designed with its ocean vista in mind. Thanks to a super king bed positioned in front of the French doors that lead straight out onto the terrace, guests can savour serene mornings watching the sea glisten on the horizon. A dressing table and a spacious walk-in wardrobe mean you can get ready for your evening plans in style and comfort, after sliding open the doors to indulge in a twilight dip in the spa pool before dinner.

Benefitting from its own luxurious en-suite, you’ll also find a beautifully designed bathroom with a walk-in waterfall shower, a wall-mounted basin and heated towel rail. Finished in blue and cream tiles, the space feels truly spa-like throughout.

Bedroom Two

Enjoying a sunny spot at the front of the property, this super king bedroom enjoys heavenly views over the coastline, while the terrace lies footsteps away through the French doors. Red striped cushions introduce subtle pops of colour to the coastal scheme, and a built-in wardrobe provides plenty of storage too. If you’d prefer, this room also has the option of being made into a twin as it has a versatile zip and link bed.

Bedroom Three

An almost mirror image of bedroom two, this room also features a zip and link bed and can be made up as either a twin or as a super king, with built-in wardrobes to match. Decorated in cool tones and green linens, French doors flood the room with plenty of natural light and reveal an enviable coastal backdrop.

Bedroom Four with En-suite

Another spacious room enjoying ocean views, bedroom four can be set up as a twin or a king, depending on your group’s sleeping arrangements. Comprised of greens and earthy tones, it becomes a tranquil hideaway for two and is complete with ‘his and hers’ wardrobes. With French doors opening onto the terrace, let the sea breeze tempt you outside for morning teas as the haze clears over Mawgan Porth.

Also home to its own private en-suite, the wet room features a large walk-in shower and wall-hung basin.

Bedroom Five with En-suite

Finished in neutral greys and blues, this bedroom features another zip and link bed and enjoys the addition of French doors for direct access onto the terrace, hot tub and pool. From the moment of waking up in either a king or twin bed, you can relish sprawling coast and countryside views, before joining the rest of the group for breakfast upstairs.

Wrapped up in rust orange kitkat tiles, the luxurious en-suite wet room features a walk-in waterfall shower.

Bedroom Six

The playful colour scheme continues into this room with blue hues and pastel accents. The bunk bed is made up of fresh white linens with a double on the bottom and a single on the top, and there’s a bamboo clothes rail for hanging your holiday wardrobe.

Family Bathroom

The family bathroom comprises a freestanding tub, walk-in shower and vanity unit. Striking in design, blue tiles adorn one of the walls, while cream tiles complete the modern coastal colour palette.

Utility

Nestled at the end of the hallway, the utility provides easy access to and from the outdoor shower area. Not only that, it also has an additional Hotpoint fridge-freezer, a basin, an Indesit washer dryer and plenty of storage space.

Shower Room

Finished in gorgeous blue and white hexagonal tile, the shower room is complete with a waterfall shower, basin and heated towel rail. With the addition of a full-size mirror and soft lighting, this room provides an idyllic space to prepare for the day.

More about theFirst Floor

Living Areas

Branching off from the dining area in both directions are two sea-view living areas. One features a curved sofa adorned in scatter cushions, a cosy wood burner, and two armchairs. In the summer, peel open the French doors to allow easy access onto the balcony with steps leading down to the pools and terrace. Once winter rolls around, return from windswept beach walks and warm up beside the wood burner as fresh coffee brews in the pot.

The other living area enjoys the addition of a 55” Panasonic Smart TV and a dove grey L-shaped sofa. Comfortable and welcoming, this is where everyone will retire to once nighttime arrives. Draw the linen curtains and sink into a sea of cushions before finding a family film to round off the day.

Kitchen and Dining Area

Light, bright and inviting, the kitchen is wrapped up in dove grey cabinetry with monochrome accents. The kitchen island has four bar stools and welcomes early risers to enjoy a coffee together before the rest of the group wakes. The kitchen has been equipped to a high specification with large groups in mind, with two Neff ovens, an induction hob, a Hotpoint fridge-freezer and two dishwashers.

For preparing hot and cold drinks, turn to the Nespresso Magimix coffee machine each morning, and the wine cooler each night. The beautiful ocean backdrop awaits just beyond the sliding doors, so whether it's gathering for breakfast around the large 12-seater dining table or watching the sun dance on distant waters, this room naturally brings everyone together.

Snug

Tucked behind the living area is an ideal teenager’s hangout. Complete with a sofa, desk and 40” Panasonic Smart TV, the snug is where youngsters can break away from the group to play games, read and watch their favourite videos together.

Just next door, you’ll also find a handy WC for those using the upstairs living spaces.

Balcony

Extending your living space into the coastal breeze, the sea-view suntrap balcony is easily accessible through sliding doors, creating an inviting spot for afternoon drinks. Wrapping around the whole of the first floor, the balcony allows for easy access onto the hot tub and pool below, as well as the outdoor kitchen. Sink into the low-slung seating and enjoy watching the tides roll into Mawgan Porth’s shores – all the while your holiday playlist sets the mood on the SONOS speaker.

More about thePool House

Pool House

Providing a comfortable and shady spot for those retreating from the sunshine, the pool house is equipped with a sofa and a Samsung Smart TV. Designed by Nicola O'Mara, this room is an ode to Scandinavian interiors – with a grey linen sofa, boucle scatter cushions and minimalist furniture, it’s easy to feel at home here.

There’s also a handy en-suite shower room, making it ideal for those using the outside space from morning through to evening.

More about theExterior

Infinity Pool and Spa Pool

The real pièce de résistance of the property, the heated infinity pool and sunken spa pool add a touch of five-star luxury. Framed by ocean views and rolling countryside as far as the eye can see, enjoy whiling away the hours here, basking in the sunshine, unwinding in the bubbles or cooling off in the pool. Lined by coastal grasses and green yuccas, the pool area feels almost Mediterranean, with the outdoor kitchen sitting footsteps away.

Outdoor Kitchen

The epitome of al fresco living, the outside kitchen comes complete with a gas barbeque grill, a fridge and a sink, as well as an integrated ice bucket. With concrete countertops and built-in seating, this space is striking, yet functional – whip up salads, barbequed meats and chilled spritzers as everyone gathers for summertime meals on the terrace.

Terrace and Lawn

Completing the outside space is the wraparound terrace and large grassy lawn. There’s a dining table seating 12 as well as sun loungers for laid back afternoons in the sunshine. With both enjoying sparkling blue views, there’s no better place to retreat to between dips in the pool. What’s more, the lawn is perfectly enclosed for little ones and dogs, so they can play to their hearts’ content while you settle into life by the sea.

Outdoor Shower

An outdoor shower is accessed via the driveway and will become the first port of call for those sandy returns from the beach. Rinse off salty hair and wetsuits under the warm water, before heading to the garden in search of a sun lounger.

Parking and EV Charger

At the front of the property, the large gravel driveway provides ample parking for four cars and has a handy PodPoint electric car charger so you can plug in as soon as you arrive.

Food and drink

Foodies will love the award-winning Scarlet Hotel Restaurant on the headland, where you can sample the taster menus or let yourself be enticed by one of the main courses. With Padstow just a short drive away, home to Paul Ainsworth at Number 6 and the iconic Rick Stein’s, you'll be spoilt for choice. For laid back dining, try The Merrymoor Inn on the beachfront or The Falcon Inn in St Mawgan. The Beach Hut at Watergate Bay is perfect for a drink with a view.

Beaches and watersports

The beautiful Mawgan Porth Beach is on your doorstep and Watergate, Constantine and Harlyn Bay are all great family-friendly options nearby. All ideal for surfing, hire boards or book lessons at Kingsurf in Mawgan Porth, the Extreme Academy at Watergate Bay or Harlyn Surf School. For jet ski hire or coasteering, head to Lusty Glaze, or try a range of different watersports in Newquay for a taste of something new.

Time for pampering

The Scarlet Hotel Spa offers some of the best holistic treatments in the area. With an indoor heated pool, hot tubs and outdoor sauna, treat yourself to a spa day or evening. What's more, with expansive views over sea and sand, you can breathe in the salty sea air as you relax. Just along the headland, the Bedruthan Hotel Spa is another fantastic option for treatments and spa days, and their sensory spa garden is a must.

Outdoor pursuits

Golfers can head to the Merlin Golf Course just up the road or the championship course at Trevose Golf and Country Club, which is 15 minutes away by car. The Newquay Golf Club has some of the best sea views in the UK to soak up during your game. Walkers will love the South West Coast Path, which runs along the headland – the circular walk from Mawgan Porth to Bedruthan Steps is our top recommendation.

Activities for children

The Camel Creek Adventure Park is perfect for children of all ages, with family-friendly rides, animal encounters and play areas. Newquay Zoo and Dairyland Farm World are both nearby, perfect for the little ones to get acquainted with a variety of animals. Go Karting in St Eval is great for the adrenaline junkies of the family. On rainy days, head to the Blue Reef Aquarium, Pirate’s Quest or the Lighthouse Cinema in Newquay.
