Downderry Beach is dog-friendly all year round. At low tide, the sand stretches for a mile to Seaton, revealing a patchwork of rock pools. Be sure to check the tide times, as parts of the beach become cut off as the tide comes in.

Downderry Beach is popular among swimmers and snorkelers, with the waves attracting surfers too. The waters are clear and clean. Low tide reveals a natural, shallow bathing pool, perfect for children.

The closest town to Downderry is Looe, which lies just over six miles away. This popular and vibrant coastal destination is where the river of the same name reaches the sea.
