Trevone Bay Beach is dog-friendly between 1st October and 14th May. Despite the seasonal dog ban at Trevone, there are plenty of nearby beaches that welcome canine companions throughout the year. Highlights include the beaches at Porthcothan, Constantine Bay, Harlyn Bay and Rock.
You’ll find plenty of memorable family days out right on the doorstep at Trevone. You can spend days whiling away the hours on the beach or along the coastal path, but there are also some of Cornwall’s finest attractions close by.
Just five miles away in Tredinnick, near Wadebridge, lies Camel Creek Family Theme Park. This fun-packed day out promises thrill rides, a variety of animal experiences, Cornwall’s only 5D cinema and much more. The Eden Project’s world-famous biomes are 16 miles away, on the fringes of St Austell. Often dubbed the ‘eighth wonder of the world’, there’s a wealth to see and do here, both inside and out in the gardens.
Other highlights include Dairyland in Tresillian Barton (15 miles), Bodmin Jail (15 miles), Blue Reef Aquarium in Newquay (19 miles), and Tintagel Castle (21 miles).
Trevone Bay Beach is a surfing hotspot and attracts wave riders of all abilities from far and wide. It’s a great place for starting out too, with Trevone Bay Adventures offering surf lessons for beginners. You can also try your hand at kayaking, canoeing and coasteering. Be sure to take a dip in Trevone Bay Beach’s sea pool too – a wonderful spot for swimming and bathing.
Trevone is within striking distance of several outstanding restaurants. Ivy House is set within a charming farmhouse a mile away in St Merryn. You can expect simple, family-friendly dishes with a hint of Italian.
Padstow is just two miles away and home to three Rick Stein eateries. The Seafood Restaurant is perfect for fish-lovers seeking a memorable dining experience.
