An oasis of calm in the midst of the countryside, this beautiful Cornish new build is home to panoramic views across rolling hills, with Daymer Bay and the South West Coast Path just a five minute walk away. Four Geese blends sleek architecture with stylish interiors and places family comfort at its core. Without compromising on luxury, it emanates that intangible feeling of home.
Spacious and accommodating, the ground floor is ideal for those with limited mobility. Each downstairs room has been designed and considered with accessibility in mind, from the ground floor bedroom and its adjoining wet room, to the step-free access onto the terrace and garden - a rarity among luxury homes. The large open plan kitchen, living and dining area is finished to a high standard, combining a modern coastal colour palette with subtle farmhouse touches. On warm days, open the sliding doors in the living and dining areas to welcome a fresh breeze throughout the space. And as evening falls, light the wood burner and put your feet up with a glass of red.
Upstairs, three bedrooms offer spectacular views over the countryside and across to Padstow and Bodmin Moor in the distance. A great place to watch the sunrise, step onto the balcony just as the day begins.
Outside, a large sunny terrace and enclosed grassy garden welcome days spent in the fresh air. An outdoor shower is perfect for beachy holidays, while the electric car charging point means you can simply unplug and head out for coastal road trips. Come evening, stoke the barbeque and gather everyone together for an al fresco supper on the terrace while your favorite albums play through the SONOS. Once the little ones are in bed, slip away from the group and savour a well-deserved soak in the outdoor bath tub, as the sky fills with stars.
Youngsters will love spending summer days on the nearby Daymer Bay Beach, less than a 10 minute walk away, where they can splash in the shallows and play rounders on the sand. Cool down with an ice cream from Daymer Bay Beach Shop, or join the South West Coast Path within minutes to enjoy a leisurely walk to Polzeath Beach in one direction, or Rock in the other. Alternatively, both north coast destinations are a very short drive away, where you’ll find surf schools, independent shops, laid back cafés, restaurants and delis.

Daymer Bay
Beaches and watersports
Backed by sand dunes, the beautiful Daymer Bay looks across the Camel Estuary and is dog-friendly all year round. Just along the coast path towards Polzeath is the quieter Greenaway Beach, while the expansive Rock Beach is in the opposite direction. This stretch of coastline is perfect for coasteering with Cornish Rock Tors, and Polzeath is one of the best surfing beaches in Cornwall. Rock is also well known for sailing, with the watersports haven of Harlyn Bay also nearby, ideal if you're looking to try something new and exciting on your next escape.
Outdoor pursuits
The walk from Daymer Bay to Polzeath is highly recommended and there are some stunning routes around Pentire Head and across to Port Isaac. Catch the water taxi to Padstow or drive to Wadebridge to embark on the scenic Camel Trail - a flat, family-friendly path for walkers and cyclists. Golfers will love the renowned St Enodoc Golf Club, just 10 minutes away, and Trevose Golf Club and Bowood Golf Club are about 35 minutes by car.
Food and drink
The Waterfront and Cracking Crab in Polzeath are extremely popular and the Four Boys Café, The Pityme Inn and The Dining Room are delectable dining options in Rock. For casual meals and post-sail drinks, try The Mariners in Rock, which is run by Paul Ainsworth. For special occasion meals and award-winning cookery schools, head to the foodie mecca of Padstow just across the estuary. Daymer Bay is also surrounded by vineyards, including Trevibban Mill and Camel Valley.
Activities for children
There are plenty of alternatives to family beach days nearby, including the Camel Creek Adventure Park and Dairyland Farm World, where little ones can meet a variety of farmyard animals. Younger children will relish rainy days spent at the charming Macdonald’s Farm near Porthcothan. For history enthusiasts, we’d recommend an educational day trip to the mythical Tintagel Castle, which is about 35 minutes away by car.
Time for pampering
Just a stone’s throw from Daymer Bay is the rustic-luxe Cowshed Spa at the St Moritz Hotel. The ultimate space to relax and unwind, opt for a quick beauty fix or an indulgent full or half day package. The St Enodoc Spa in Rock is a great alternative option for holiday pampering, with a range of restorative treatments on offer. From deluxe facials to bespoke body massages, indulge in a moment of calm in one of the many luxurious nearby spas. Slightly further afield, The Scarlet is home to an open air sea-view hot tub, perfect for soaking up the fresh Cornish air after a calming facial or invigorating massage.

Another fabulous stay at Four Geese. So comfortable with stunning views and super clean. A real joy to stay. Our second visit and we weren't disappointed.
”We had a wonderful stay. It was great to not use the car as there was lots to walk to locally. Loved the layout of this house. We have rented a fair few houses and this tops our list. The bedroom and wet room were a bonus for a wheelchair user in our group. This house has everything.
”What a fantastic stay here. The house was just perfect and had everything we could ever need. The views, layout and finish of the property are amazing and we'd certainly book again. Perfect Stays have been superb. The location is also spot on.
”Really easy to book. Good information provided in advance. Nice touch having the tablet in the property to log in to.
”We love Perfect Stays' homes and have stayed in many of your properties. We especially love the location, the superb quality and taste of furnishing, and how they cater well for extended family groups with kids and dogs.
”We recently had the pleasure of staying at Four Geese during the Easter holidays, and it was an unforgettable experience. This impressive house is nestled in the most amazing setting, surrounded by natural beauty. The house itself is spacious, elegantly designed, and equipped with every amenity you can think of. From the cosy fireplace to modern appliances, we lacked for nothing during our stay. Despite the persistent rain, we couldn't resist making use of the outdoor bath! We highly recommend Four Geese to anyone looking for a memorable getaway.
”Four Geese is a really great property, we loved everything about it! It's in a fantastic location as you can access Polzeath Beach and Daymer Bay easily. The house was well equipped, and it was lovely to have countryside views and a garden - it felt like a home away from home, as it was extremely comfortable and spacious. Perfect Stays were very helpful, and we've booked again for next year already.
”Beautiful house in a very peaceful setting. We loved walking from the house to Daymer Bay, Rock, Polzeath and Pentire Point. There's a lovely café at Pentire and we had a fantastic meal at Café Rojano in Padstow. Four Geese is very well-equipped, warm and comfortable, and overall we had a great holiday.
”Wow, what great accommodation - Four Geese is spacious, light and has great facilities. It's also so close to Daymer Bay, Rock, Polzeath and Padstow. We were a party of seven and it was absolutely perfect - we wished we had stayed for two weeks!
