Named after a picturesque Cornish cove on the west coast, Poldhu is a dream holiday home for families and groups of friends. The exterior is truly captivating, clad in timber, encased in glass and finished with striking black accents. Dog-friendly and set over two floors, the home’s sea views, elevated lookout lounge and four bedrooms make it a relaxing place to call home after days on Harlyn Bay Beach.

With the ocean in sight and direct garden access thanks to vast sliding doors, the inviting social areas blend effortlessly into one. A sleek kitchen finished in deep blue and cool grey tones overlooks the large dining table and cosy living area, with its plush sofas and Smart TV.

Upstairs in the lookout lounge, it’s easy to lose yourself in the sweeping sea vista that awaits through the treetops. From crashing tides to sunkissed sands, the beautiful view across Harlyn Bay is best savoured alongside crisp wine and local cheese. There’s also a bedroom nestled on this floor, enjoying the same coastal outlook from its king size bed. Benefiting from an en-suite bathroom, it makes a tempting refuge for couples wanting to break away from the group.

Taking their names from the surrounding Seven Bays, the remaining three bedrooms are on the ground floor, including one super king, one zip and link, and one king size room. Perfectly peaceful, the master suite awaits at the far end of the house. With an en-suite bathroom and a small private terrace with ocean glimpses, it lends itself to early birds hoping to make the most of the view. A welcome addition for hot summer months, each bedroom also enjoys air conditioning.

Stepping out into the garden from the kitchen, you’ll find a raised deck with a dining table to seat eight, plus a soft grassy lawn for games in the evening sun. Looking back at the house, the hot tub sits at the edge of the garden, while the charcoal barbeque and outdoor shower are best enjoyed after surf lessons and walks in the shallows.

Harlyn Bay and the local area promise to fill the holiday itinerary for days on end, with one of Cornwall’s best surfing beaches less than a five minute walk away. Also within 10 minutes on foot, lovers of fine food will relish the chance to dine at The Pig, where alongside a beautiful restaurant and kitchen garden, you’ll find the Potting Shed Treatment Rooms for relaxing spa days.

Open Plan Kitchen, Living and Dining Area

A welcoming space to bring the whole family together, Poldhu’s kitchen, living and dining area enjoys an open plan design. Large bi-fold doors open onto the sunny garden where drinks on the decked terrace await.

Awash with deep blue tones and marble accents, the stylish kitchen is equipped to an exceptionally high standard - complete with a Neff oven, built-in microwave and Nespresso Vertuo coffee machine. The central island is home to an induction hob and two wine coolers, inviting guests to take a seat at the bar stools with a chilled drink as dinner is prepared.

Seating eight, the large wooden dining table sits in front of the bi-fold doors, making the space perfect for sociable afternoons in and out of the garden. Select your favourite playlist through the SONOS speakers, then once the evening draws to a close, sink into a plush blue sofa in front of the LG Smart TV. With access to Netflix, Disney+ and Prime Video, there’ll be something to keep everyone entertained.

Master Bedroom with En-suite

At the end of the hallway lies a heavenly master bedroom with a luxurious 7ft long super king size bed. Dusky pinks and deep blues create a welcoming space, while French doors flood the room with plenty of natural light and offer views into the private courtyard garden. A large built-in wardrobe provides room to hang your holiday favourites, while the marble tiled en-suite features his and hers sinks and a spacious walk-in shower. 

On warmer days, open up the patio doors and enjoy an al fresco breakfast in the sunshine. With glimpses over the ocean, this private pocket of the garden is perfect for nightcaps under the stars before bed. Sure to be a welcome addition in the summer months, all four bedrooms at Poldhu also enjoy air conditioning throughout. 

Bedroom Two with En-suite

Bright and inviting, bedroom two is another spacious room with a king size bed and pretty views over the garden. The en-suite bathroom features beautiful marbled tiles and a luxurious waterfall shower, making it a real haven to get ready for the day ahead. A wall-mounted Smart TV means you can catch up with any much-loved series while enjoying a morning coffee. 

Bedroom Three

A zip and link bed means bedroom three can be transformed from a king into a handy twin, depending on your requirements. Finished in soft sandy tones and light blue accents, this bedroom provides a comfortable space to relax after sunny mornings exploring the coast. As with all bedrooms, you'll fine unique resin artwork dotted throughout, including the wooden nightstands that frame the bed.

Please note that while these bedrooms are located on the ground floor, there are approximately 4 internal steps from the entranceway to the ground floor bedrooms.

Family Bathroom

Finished in delicate marble from floor to ceiling, the family bathroom feels instantly luxurious. A freestanding bath tub welcomes evenings submerged in clouds of bubbles, while the large waterfall shower is perfect for mornings on the go. 

Utility

Just off of the grand marble entryway, this practical utility room benefits from a washing machine and tumble dryer, as well as an industrial dehumidifier that's perfect for drying out salty wetsuits. Built-in cupboards provide plenty of room for beach gear, while a farmhouse sink and an additional WC complete the space.

Living Area

The lookout lounge on the first floor is a haven of calm, with muted cream interiors and white-washed wooden furniture. Expansive sliding windows make it the perfect spot to enjoy the views out towards Harlyn Bay Beach and watch the waves crash onto the shore.

On rainy days, curl up on the sofa with a blanket and glass of wine to watch your favourite film on the Smart TV. 

Bedroom Four with En-suite

Just off of the living area, step inside bedroom four and instantly feel relaxed. With a king size bed, air conditioning and far-reaching sea views through the treetops, you’ll want to spend plenty of time enjoying lazy breakfasts in bed. When you’re ready to get up, head to the en-suite with its classic tiled design and freshen up in the walk-in rainfall shower.

Garden

The lush green lawn in the enclosed garden is perfect for children and dogs to explore. Meanwhile the raised deck and outdoor dining table for eight sits just outside the kitchen, ideal for breezy lunches in the Cornish sunshine or seafood feasts prepared on the charcoal barbecue. 

Along the side of the house you’ll find a handy outdoor shower, perfect for washing sandy toes after a long day spent on Harlyn Bay Beach.

Hot Tub

Head to the bottom of the garden and sink into the bubbling hot tub to rejuvenate with a glass of fizz. 

Parking and EV charger

Poldhu has private off-street parking for three cars on the gated drive at the bottom of the garden, plus a 7kW electric vehicle charging point.
