Kitchen and Dining Room
Finished in striking blue and an arresting combination of rustic and polished wood, the kitchen is a sociable setting with incredible ocean views to match. Enjoy hearty lunches spread across the custom-made dining table or retire to the window seat to watch the waves roll in over breakfast.
Taking centre stage, the modern kitchen island is encircled by soft grey bar stools. A Neff double oven and Siemens WiFi induction hob make cooking and dining a breeze, with the finer details taken care of by the Caple wine cooler, Nespresso coffee machine and Quooker boiling water tap. There’s a Fisher and Paykel fridge freezer and Panasonic microwave, while a pair of Bosch dishwashers make easy work of the washing up. Finished with artwork by Fiona Willis and Merlyn Chesterman, plus a bespoke embroidered lampshade by Kate Tarling, the kitchen showcases the finest creators in the South West.
Please note: guests with pacemakers should avoid using the induction hob as this can interfere with the device.
Downstairs Bathroom
Tiled from floor to ceiling in baby blue, the downstairs bathroom sits adjacent to bedroom four, offering great flexibility for guests with limited mobility. A large walk-in shower with a waterfall head makes for an invigorating wake-up call, while a backlit porthole mirror gives a subtle nod to the seaside.
Living Area
Flooded with natural light, the open plan living area celebrates high quality reclaimed and repurposed materials. Cosy blankets and rugs crafted from recycled plastic bottles add an eco-friendly edge. Velvet sofas, sheepskin armchairs and Designer’s Guild fabrics continue the texture-rich theme. Peel back the vast patio doors for an afternoon in the garden, or on chilly winter nights, cosy up beside the crackle of the wood burner as a film plays on the Sony Smart TV.
Sliding oak veneered doors give guests the option to separate the kitchen and lounge when required – adults can enjoy a glass of wine in the kitchen whilst the children play music through the Polk sound bar in the lounge.
Bedroom Four
Looking out across a patchwork of Cornish countryside, bedroom four is a tranquil space with bohemian inspired décor. Versatile zip and link beds provide the choice of an indulgent super king or family-friendly twins, while its position on the ground floor makes it ideal for guests with limited mobility. A spacious triple wardrobe with sliding doors ensures holiday essentials are subtly tucked away.
Utility Room
With direct access onto the garden for sandy returns from the beach, the bold blue colour scheme continues into the utility room. A Bosch washing machine and tumble dryer are ideal for mid-week washes, while an overhead pulley clothes airer is great for drying out salty swimsuits after a day in the sea.

Master Bedroom
Heart melting views over Mawgan Porth make the master bedroom an ideal sanctuary to unwind. A super king size zip and link bed promises a restful night’s sleep, as soft ombre interiors pay homage to their seaside surroundings. A spacious triple wardrobe provides plenty of hanging space, while a porthole mirror, statement lighting and framed artwork of the Mawgan Porth coastline tie the room together. Curl up in the window seat and watch as surfers line the waves beneath, and when winter rolls around, find yourself in the perfect storm watching spot.
Couples can create a private sanctuary by closing the door to create a spacious master suite, separate from the rest of the house. Enjoying direct access to the roof terrace and a beautiful bathroom just opposite, relish the opportunity for a moment of seclusion away from the group.
Roof Terrace
Perfect for an afternoon’s sunbathing or a nightcap for two, the suntrap roof terrace looks out across the vast sandy beach and sprawling green countryside. Industrial style seating by Hay takes advantage of the terrace’s idyllic west facing position.
Bathroom One
Featuring a large walk in shower and bath, this bathroom is beautifully adorned in turquoise tiles. A statement Duravit sink and large circle mirror complete the space as plenty of light floods in through the window.
Bedroom Two
This laid back coastal bedroom has been designed to savour beach views by day and irresistible interiors by night. Perfectly placed for watching the ocean tides, a super king size zip and link bed sits in the middle of the room, complimented by soft blue and teal furnishings. Subtle Cornish accents work their way into a pair of bedside lamps, while a trio of pictures by local artist Nicole Heidaripour adorn the wall. Handy storage includes a band sawn oak chest of drawers and a triple wardrobe.
Bedroom Three
With sweeping country views from its dual aspect windows, bedroom three is a versatile super king zip and link room with a calm and contemporary feel. A suntrap in the summer months, settle into the rocking chair and bury your nose in a book as seagulls soar beyond the window. Dotted with local inspired paintings, the room also features a large wardrobe with sliding doors.
Family Bathroom
Situated next to bedroom three, the family bathroom is vibrantly styled and incredibly spacious. Woven vinyl floors and blue tiles create a haven of texture and colour, complete with a large bath and waterfall shower.

Garden
Accessible from the kitchen and lounge, slide open the expansive glass doors and spend summer days in the enclosed garden. A luscious lawn and paved patio area create a versatile space for family games and the outdoor dining table is perfect for lunches cooked on the charcoal barbeque. Set on the edge of the garden, the outdoor shower is perfectly placed for sandy returns.
Parking
The driveway at Prennek House provides generous parking for two to three cars, as well as an electric car charger. If you're heading down to Mawgan Porth Beach, we'd recommend driving rather than walking as the narrow roads aren't necessarily pedestrian-friendly.

Eco credentials
Many of our properties have been designed to limit their impact on the environment. Here are some highlights from Prennek House’s eco credentials:
• Solar panels – the house has been oriented to maximise solar gain from the south
• Electric car charger in the parking area
• Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery system – provides fresh filtered air whilst retaining energy and heat inside the house
• Built using Cornish larch cladding and interior furnishings made from recycled plastic bottles
• Organic toiletries and sustainable bamboo toilet paper provided, made with no ink, scent or dye
Accessibility notes
There are two balconies at Prennek House. One is on the ground floor, where the garden is flat and can be accessed from both the front and back of the house. The other balcony is on the first floor, next to the master bedroom.
Prennek House is near the main road into Mawgan Porth, and the route down to the beach is narrow with no pavement. Even though the garden is enclosed and there are gates, please keep an eye on children and dogs when outside. We'd recommend guests with limited mobility are driven down to the car park for easiest access onto the sand. Beach wheelchairs are available to hire from Betty's Surf Shop.

This was our second visit to Prennek House and once again, it exceeded our expectations. The house was immaculate with everything immaculate. The one feature we all really liked was the warm outdoor shower which was fantastic after a body boarding session at Mawgan Porth. We will definitely visit again.
”We had a lovely stay in this beautiful house. The views are fabulous and every thought has gone into making your stay perfect. Felt like a home rather than just a holiday house. We will certainly be looking to come back for another stay. Can't recommend enough.
”We have stayed at the house now a couple of times. Stunning views of the beach and the surrounding farm land. Would recommend it to anyone, you won't be disappointed. The recent addition of an electric car charger is most welcomed. Will stay again.
”We've had an absolutely faultless experience, this was our third stay with Perfect Stays and our second at the beautiful Prennek House. It's just the loveliest place to stay and I'll never tire of sitting on the kitchen window seat looking out at the view. The property is spotlessly clean, very well equipped and even better in person than the photos.
”The house is as welcoming and comfortable as we remembered. We had a lovely week, were lucky with fantastic weather and explored the coast path. Thank you for everything and making it a week to remember.
”You're definitely wowed when you first arrive at Prennek House and wander around. It's been beautifully and sympathetically designed, and you find yourself using the spaces just as we suspect the owners and architects thought. Beyond the architecture it was a constant happy surprise that as soon as we thought we needed something we realised the owners had had the same thought and provided it, and never with the usual rental rubbish but high spec, always. They've thought of everything and scrimped on nothing, and we had the most perfect week.
”Perfect Stays are an exclusive company, I would highly recommend them to anyone. We stayed at Prennek House in Mawgan Porth for the second year running, it's an incredible house and we absolutely love it there.
”We stayed at Prennek House in Mawgan Porth, Cornwall. Absolutely fabulous property, wonderfully appointed and with a beautiful view and in a great location.
