An all-encompassing panorama spans from Polzeath right the way around to Stepper Point, and the property is surrounded by lush green countryside. There’s nothing like raising a glass of fizz on the glass-edged balcony as the ocean glistens on the horizon.
Incredibly striking from the outside, Seagrass is a contemporary marriage of oak, iroko, slate and glass. Bespoke fittings, Italian furniture and original artwork complete the three beautifully designed floors. The high-tech facilities offer hours of entertainment, with a TV room, SONOS sound system and Sky Q.
Excellent use of space and an open plan design creates a sociable living area on the first floor, with a double-sided wood burner taking centre stage. The large solid oak dining table is crowned by iconic statement glass lighting – creating an atmospheric space for bringing everyone together.
Breathtaking sea views sweep around the house and can be enjoyed from every bedroom, two of which feature elevated glass balconies. Break away from the group on a clear night and take in the sparkling constellations before drifting into a deep sleep.
The large front garden is great for children, who can burn off some steam before settling down for the night. There’s a sun-trap terrace for lazy afternoons and an outdoor shower for sandy returns from the beach.
The buzzing town of Polzeath is just a short walk down the hill and this family-friendly beach is perfect for surfing, body boarding and sunbathing. The gorgeous Daymer Bay is also just a scenic walk along the coast path.

Polzeath
Beaches and watersports
One of Cornwall’s best surfing beaches, Polzeath is perfectly suited to families, bodyboarders and first-time surfers. The local surf schools offer high quality lessons and equipment hire, and George’s Surf School is a brilliant option for one-to-one tuition. A string of iconic beaches can be found along the coast path, including Greenaway, Daymer Bay and Rock. If you’re looking for adventure, we’d recommend coasteering with Cornish Rock Tors and kayak trips with Harlyn Surf School.
Outdoor pursuits
This stretch of North Cornwall is heavenly for walkers, with lovely routes from Polzeath to Daymer Bay and on towards Rock. Catch the water taxi from Rock to Padstow and spend the day walking or cycling the wonderfully scenic Camel Trail – there are plenty of options for lunch along the way. If golf is your activity of choice, head to the St Enodoc Golf Club in Rock. Alternatively, Trevose Golf Club and Bowood Golf Club are about 35 minutes away.
Food and drink
Polzeath is home to a plethora of beachside cafés for a quick snack or ice cream. We’d recommend The Waterfront or Cracking Crab for something a bit more substantial or the range of restaurants and pubs in Rock, including The Mariners. Padstow is just across the estuary from Rock, with award-winning options like Paul Ainsworth at Number 6 for special occasions. If you love trying out local tipples, then a full or half day experience with Cornish Wine Tours is not to be missed.
Time for pampering
Just above Polzeath is the rustic-luxe Cowshed Spa at the St Moritz Hotel. The ultimate space to relax and unwind, opt for a quick beauty fix or an indulgent full or half day package. The Scarlet in Mawgan Porth is a great alternative option for holiday pampering, with a range of restorative treatments on offer. Using a range of organic and natural luxury skincare, you're sure to leave feeling completely refreshed and rejuvenated.
Activities for children
There are plenty of alternatives to family beach days nearby, including the Camel Creek Adventure Park and Dairyland Farm World, where little ones can meet the animals before letting off some steam in the indoor play area. Younger children will relish rainy days spent at the charming Macdonald's Farm near Porthcothan. For history enthusiasts, we’d recommend a day trip to the mythical Tintagel Castle, which is about 35 minutes away by car.

We had a fantastic time. The house is very well equipped and was spotlessly clean. Good quality linen and towels. The complimentary welcome food pack was very generous, and the scones were delicious.
”A fantastic stay at Seagrass. The house was superb and had everything we needed, spacious, clean and well equipped in a beautiful location with stunning sea views. It was perfect for our family holiday.
”This was the third time we have stayed at Seagrass, and we had a wonderful time again. The accommodation is beautiful and really well appointed (last year we fed back that there were no jugs - this time there were plenty) ... I do lots of cooking and wasn't wanting for anything and the amount of crockery / glassware is great. I will bring a knife sharpener if I come again though. The house was spotless - really well done to the cleaning team.
Our only minor niggle is regarding the TV/Satellite. It's complicated and we could perhaps do with some examples in the book/information of what to do when receiving specific errors. Everything worked fine for the first few days and then we started getting messages saying 'Mini TV Unavailable No Satellite Signal' or when we went to the TV Guide it had a continuous messages saying 'Your box is still initialising, please return in a short time to use this feature.' We are pretty tech savvy (and tried the obvious turning things off and on again) and couldn't get it working. We ended up watching TV through I Player. I seem to remember this happening last year too. I suspect that there is a trick to it.
”We loved this property - fantastic location and lovely walks. The owners should be really proud! We will try and come again.
”We were a group of 10 (five couples) and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Seagrass in Cornwall. Lovely, large five-bedroom property and a perfect location for coastal walks. Perfect Stays' concierge service provided valuable local knowledge and helped with the logistics for our local travel needs.
”The access to Seagrass is as advised via a bumpy lane, it has quite a lot of potholes but it is worth the effort. The sea views are really wonderful and the Camel Trail is a few minutes below the house. Polzeath beach is approx a 10 minute walk which passes the excellent Cracking Crab beach café that serves amazing fresh crab and lobster. The house is comfortable and is well appointed with everything you could need in the kitchen. It has a lovely spacious Master bedroom and the bathrooms are good with plenty of hot water on demand. The beds are fairly comfortable and the pillows were excellent. We were a family of 5 adults so there was ample room for relaxing in the upstairs lounge area. I would say that the downstairs cinema room is a bonus if you are a larger party and that you have children staying with you. Perfect Stays are a professional company with really friendly and knowledgeable holiday advisors. Nothing is too much trouble and they are always on hand with help and advice on the properties and local restaurants and activities. We have already re-booked for September next year and we are really looking forward to trying another location nearby.
”We loved our week at Seagrass. The house is immaculate and has the most wonderful views of the Camel Estuary. The house provides plenty of space for a large family group to spread out, and the central kitchen has everything that a self catered holiday requires. There is wonderful walking straight from the door out to the coastal path, and my daughter spent five days in six out in the surf on Polzeath Beach. We would all love to come back in a heartbeat.
”We have just returned from a fabulous week in Seagrass, Polzeath. We wanted to thank you for everything, we enjoyed every moment. Your organisation was so professional and helpful from start to finish. We love the area and the weather was so very kind to us - which of course makes a huge difference. We are still thinking of our special stay.
”First class destination. First class house. First class service. And the personal chef was a massive WOW! Thank you for making our stay perfect.
”We have had a wonderful time at Seagrass. Thank you for helping with the arrangements and helping our week run so smoothly!
”Stayed for a week in September at Polzeath, Cornwall, superb property could not fault it in any way. The company and the members of the staff we dealt with at Perfect Stays were professional, friendly and very helpful. There were six of us (all adults) and we booked again for next year. Highly recommended.
