The extensive calendar of Devon food festivals commences just in time for the warmer weather in the spring. Make the most of the longer days during this lovely time of year by celebrating some of the freshest, locally made produce in the Westcountry.

2026 dates: Sunday 3rd May

This vibrant festival, hosted by the Rotary Club of Salcombe, showcases the best in local fishing, food and drink. Highlights include hands-on cookery demos from award-winning chefs, crab-picking masterclasses, crab pot making, live music and children’s activities, all in an idyllic coastal setting. 

This harbourside food festival raises money for local causes and features over 80 exhibitors, including a wide range of food and drink stalls. Be sure to stop by our Perfect Stays stand!

2026 dates: 21st, 22nd and 23rd May 

Held at the Westpoint Arena, this fabulous family-friendly county show features tractors, animals, dog shows, music, funfairs and crafts, as well as a plethora of food and drink exhibitors. 

Devon County Show are committed to making the event accessible for all, therefore the showground is wheelchair-friendly and mobility scooters are available to hire. Disabled parking, accessible facilities and viewing areas make this a wonderfully inclusive event.

  

Clovelly Seaweed Festival

  

2026 dates: 24th May

Did you know that seaweed is packed with minerals, fibre and nutritional properties, offering a wide range of health benefits? Sample delicious seaweed dishes as you wander along the quay, learning all about the incredible world of seaweed.

Alongside the seaweed products for sale at Clovelly Seaweed Festival, there will be fabulous live music and entertainment. Raising money for North Devon Hospice, this lively event promises to be a vibrant celebration of seaweed and its flavours, colours and health benefits.

Food, music and entertainment provide the perfect ingredients for a fun-filled festival. You’ll be spoilt for choice with delectable dishes available to purchase, with last year’s vendors including artisan pizza, authentic world foods and sweet treats.

From Salcombe Brewery beers, to prosecco, liqueurs and a range of soft drinks, there’ll be beverages for all tastes.

Discover over 120 stalls showcasing the best local produce at this fantastic event in Plymouth city centre. Last year’s traders included Dartmoor Whiskey, Hobbs Chocolates, Friary Mill Bakery and a whole host of savoury options including hog roasts, biltong and Greek cuisine.

Aside from the delicious food at Plymouth Flavourfest, there’s also a packed programme, including talks and demonstrations from local chefs, live music and workshops to keep everyone entertained. 
 

Summer events

  

The summer season is a wonderful time for food festivals in the South West. Experience traditional agricultural shows, scrumpuous food festivals and live music in the sunshine, amongst picturesque surroundings in Devon.

  

Devon Street Food Festival, Braunton

  

2026 dates: July (days to be confirmed)

Three days of food stalls and entertainment will take place at Braunton Recreation Grounds in July. Over 20 traders serving a range of tasty dishes, alongside craft beer and fresh cocktails promise a delicious feast for all. The diverse range of dishes will include Indian, Vietnamese, Moroccan, Mexican and Caribbean. 

There will be food available to suit all dietary requirements and tastes, with an abundance of treats to satisfy those with a sweet tooth. With live music and entertainment to enjoy whilst you sample the flavoursome fare for sale, this is a great event for celebrating the summer season with family or friends.

Celebrate local produce in a historical setting at the Love Local Food Festival by Greendale, set within the grounds of Exeter Castle. Immerse yourself in the Devon foodie scene at this Exeter food festival, with live talks and food tastings, alongside over 80 food and drink traders.

After tantalising the taste buds with a range of appetising dishes, wash it all down with a drink from the traditional bar or al fresco cocktail stall. Last year’s event included a wide range of street food, deli dishes and indulgent puddings, as well as live music and a multitude of foodie experiences.

  

Autumn events 

  

Take advantage of the quieter season, with one of these fabulous food festivals in South Devon or on the north coast. Embrace the spectacular changing colours and autumn sunshine, whilst sampling some of the best countryside and coastal cuisine this scenic region has to offer.

Seafood-lovers will adore this spectacular autumn event, celebrating the finest, freshest catches. This incredible festival takes place over two weeks and features expertly crafted seafood dishes, tasting menus and seafood-inspired events, including chef demos, wine pairings and ‘catch and cook’ experiences. 

Meet the fishermen who bring in the daily catch, which includes over 40 species landing at the world-famous Brixham Fish Market, then tuck into a seafood platter with an blissful harbour view. Immerse yourself in all things seafood while you soak up the surroundings of the stunning English Riviera. 

  

Taste East Devon Festival, Exmouth and Axminster

Dedicated to the delicious produce of East Devon, the Taste East Devon Food Festival will feature chefs, farmers and brewers. Taking place in the coastal town of Exmouth and the tranquil town of Axminster on the edge of rolling Devonshire hills, this buzzing food fair offers the perfect opportunity to explore South East Devon.

Expect wine tastings, fermentation experiments, delectable dishes and tasting menus, all in spectacular countryside and coastal settings. Last year’s traders included Coffee Factory, Barbuoy Cocktails, Otter Brewery, Coldharbour Field Kitchen, Darts Farm and The Pig at Combe. Tours of vineyards and kitchen gardens will take place in various locations, as well as a plethora of live music and foodie experiences.

 

 North Devon Food Fest, Barnstaple

Taking place at Barnstaple Panier Market, this annual celebration of food and drink brings together brilliant chefs, restauranteurs and artisan producers. With a mouth-watering range of local culinary delights, visitors will be spoilt for choice with sumptuous dishes to sample. 

Get insider tips and tricks as you watch live chef demos and take your pick from farm-fresh produce to take home and enjoy. This fabulous event promises to be a great way to spend an autumn weekend in North Devon. 

 

Dartmouth Food Festival 

  

2026 dates: 23rd – 25th October 

Immerse yourself in hands-on cookery demos, drink masterclasses and wine seminars at this three-day event. Browse the bustling trade stands and sample some of the region’s finest produce, with the beautiful River Dart as your backdrop. 

Last year’s food stalls included Roly’s Fudge, Salcombe Dairy, Duke Street Deli and Salcombe Gin. There’s usually an opening night party in the historic Market Square in Dartmouth, featuring live music and a diverse range of tempting food.
