Spanning the first floor is the elegantly styled master bedroom, complete with a super king size bed, enormous en-suite and walk-in wardrobe. Featuring glossy white units and a freestanding central island, the kitchen is bright and spacious. Invite the outside in on a warm afternoon by sliding open the vast patio doors and flooding the space with natural light.

Bedroom Six
With a super king size bed and Samsung TV, the ground floor bedroom is ideally positioned for easy access across the entire floor. A large wardrobe provides plenty of storage, while the stylish en-suite boasts a large walk-in shower with waterfall head, as well as underfloor heating.
Utility Room
Housing the Bosch washing machine and tumble dryer as well as an additional dishwasher and AEG larder fridge-freezer, the utility room provides plenty of storage.
Bedroom Two
With a super king size bed, large double wardrobe and LG Smart TV, this room is calming and understated. Savour idyllic views of the lawn from the armchair or slip out into the garden to relish the morning rays on the other side of the sliding glass doors. The en-suite bathroom has distinctive double sinks and a bath, as well as a large waterfall shower.
Bedroom Three
As you enter this sleek double bedroom, the space is awash with light. Plentiful storage and an LG Smart TV add a touch of home, while the super king size zip and link bed provides flexible sleeping arrangements through the option of two single beds. Bedroom Four
Seek comfort and refuge in this luxurious bolthole. Doubling up as a versatile zip and link, the super king size bed and separate sofa make this room a great space to relax. There’s a walk-in shower in the en-suite bathroom and large windows let in plenty of light.
Bedroom Five
Thoughtfully furnished with twin beds and child-friendly interiors including a swivel chair and nautical blinds, this bedroom exudes fun and personality. The chest of drawers, wardrobe and bookcase provide generous storage, while the large en-suite accommodates invigorating showers or relaxing soaks in the bath.
Master Bedroom
Commanding picturesque views of Devonian seas and the iconic Burgh Island, the stylish master bedroom occupies the entire first floor. With glass doors opening out onto the balcony and large Velux windows, the space is light and airy. A super king size bed lies at the heart of the room, providing blissful seclusion for quiet mornings and cosy nights, while the Toshiba TV and DVD player accommodate indoor entertainment.
Benefiting from a spacious dressing room with ample storage, the master bedroom is an elegant space, complete with tasteful teal furnishings.

En-suite
Let the warmth of the underfloor heating invite you into the generous en-suite, beautifully finished in neutral tones. With a walk-in shower, dual sinks and a large bath, this bathroom provides plenty of space for get-up-and-go mornings and relaxing evening soaks. A charming porthole window adds character, while a Velux window and an abundance of storage ensures the space is fresh and functional.
Garden
Take a seat at the large dining table with space for eight or venture a few footsteps across the lawn to the secluded wooden swing to while away the hours with a good book. Accessible through the kitchen’s expansive sliding doors as well as the garden, Avocet’s elevated terrace is a great spot for a breakfast banquet as you watch the sun glide across the morning sky.
Children will love playing on the grass as the evening draws near, while the barbeque encourages al fresco family meals following sandy adventures on Bigbury-on-Sea Beach.

There’s space to park up to four cars at the front of the property, as well as a 7kW electric car charger located to the left of the front door. A handy space for storing beach equipment and wetsuits, there’s also a shed conveniently located outside the games room.

The prestigious Blue Flag beach of Bigbury-on-Sea is perfect for families. Joined by a causeway to the iconic Burgh Island, the chance to cross the beach on the world’s only sea tractor is not to be missed. Other beautiful sandy beaches in the area include Bantham, Thurlestone, South Milton and the pretty Hope Cove, while decent swells at the nearby Challabrough and Mothercombe make both perfect for surfing.
Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there are several gorgeous walks surrounding Bigbury-on-Sea. Follow the coast path along the Avon Estuary towards Aveton Gifford before crossing the bridge and returning towards Bantham or venture a little further out to Blackdown Rings. Pick up the golf clubs and visit the immaculate courses at Bigbury, Thurlestone or Dartmouth. Alternatively, take a day trip to Start Bay and experience the biggest and most accessible fishing beach in South Devon.
Take a step back in time with the famous art deco Burgh Island Hotel, hosting black tie dinners every evening. For exceptional seafood, head to The Oyster Shack and relax on the terrace with a refreshing drink. The Pilchard Inn and The Journey’s End Inn both offer a great spot for a pint of local ale, while a little further afield in Dartmouth sits the wonderful Seahorse Restaurant, owned by Mitch Tonks. For a light lunch, head to Venus Café on Bigbury beach for a much needed energy boost in between exploring South Devon's waters.

Lovely spacious and well designed house in a great location.
Avocet certainly has a "wow" factor, it's the perfect spacious house to create memories with the whole family. My 89 year-old dad loved showing off his pool skills most nights, while the well-kept garden provided the perfect playground for our two year-old twins.
We had a multi-generational holiday at Avocet. The standard and facilities at the property were top-notch. The beautiful artwork added to the special features, as did the magical garden, ideal for youngsters wanting to run off excess energy.
Bigbury is a lovely beachside village, totally unspoilt yet plenty going on. Avocet is in a perfect position and the house has magnificent views and equally good facilities too. I'd definitely return again!
We had an incredible week at Avocet. This is a truly beautiful location, with breathtaking views of Burgh Island. So much thought has been put into the needs of the visitors and although the weather was rather wet and windy, as a family we had more than enough space and activities to keep all generations happy and occupied.
