The beautiful countryside kitchen is the focal point of Rosemain, with a magnificent dining table positioned at its heart. Set everyone up for the day with a filling farmhouse breakfast, before embarking on brisk coastal walks, endless rounds of golf or sailing expeditions on the estuary.
Flooded with natural light and surrounded by luscious green lawns, Rosemain’s lounge is an absolute delight when the sun is shining and the French doors are open wide. The feature wood burner creates a toasty haven when the light starts to fade, and there’s no better place to curl up with a post-dinner glass of red. A separate TV room is great for cosy film nights or keeping the younger members of the group entertained.
Rosemain has five spacious bedrooms – two containing en-suite bathrooms, Juliette balconies and peaceful views across the garden. Three out of the five bedrooms have zip and link beds, offering flexible sleeping arrangements with the option of a super king or twins.
Located at the top of Rock Road, there are a number of bakeries, shops and restaurants within a five minute walk of Rosemain. The sweeping sands of Rock Beach along with the St Enodoc Golf Club and Paul Ainsworth’s Mariners pub are all located at the bottom of the hill.

Other than the many gorgeous beaches nearby, there are plenty of alternatives for children to enjoy. The Camel Creek Adventure Park and Dairyland Farm World are perfect for the little ones to meet and feed the animals before running around in the indoor play area to let off some steam. Younger children will relish rainy days spent at the charming Macdonald’s Farm near Porthcothan. And for history enthusiasts, we’d recommend a day trip to the mythical Tintagel Castle, which is about 35 minutes away by car.

Following a week in St Mawes we arrived at Rosemain, Rock, for a week's stay with our dog. It was the 4th time we have stayed at Rosemain and 2nd time with our cocker spaniel. It is a great house with five bedrooms and loads of space downstairs. We have stayed there with a large group twice and as a drop in and stay this time with friends and family able to stay for a few days and then head off. The garden is large with plenty of space for garden games, space for the dogs to run around and fully enclosed and not overlooked. A very large kitchen diner with loads of kitchen stuff. But only a short walk from The Pityme Inn or a 20 minute walk into Rock and the beach. Great walks, the best fish and chip shop, and fishmongers makes it a great place to stay.
”Our stay at Rosemain was perfect, it was just what we needed. Rosemain is a home from home, it's a lovely house for a big family with an open layout and plenty of places to escape to and located in a good location between Polzeath, Rock and Padstow. The property was also perfect for our two dogs with the paddock, well-fenced garden and a utility room. We'd definitely stay at Rosemain again.
”Excellent customer service from Perfect Stays. Their Concierge recommendations of wine tasting and a private chef were fantastic and made my 70th birthday celebration a beautiful and memorable event. Rosemain's a delightful place to stay with great social spaces for large get-togethers and you can walk to Rock's pubs, shops and restaurants too.
”Lovely holiday cottage - spacious, clean, well-stocked. Perfect Stays were very good at keeping us informed.
”We had a superb time with friends at Rosemain which is in a great location with a large indoor and outdoor space located close to the Pityme Inn and shops. Accommodation was very clean with everything one needs for our large group.
”Excellent Service! We cannot fault the service provided by Perfect Stays for our recent stay at Rosemain in Rock. We made use of the Concierge Service having a great evenings wine tasting and a mini spa day at the property. All the staff we spoke to at Perfect Stays were helpful and went above and beyond. I highly recommend.
”Excellent accommodation, great location for Polzeath and Padstow. Would definitely stay again. The Perfect Stay's team were very helpful.
”Use this company, they're the best I have encountered in 15 years of holiday homes. Wonderful service and place provided - I'd highly recommend Perfect Stays again.
”We had a fantastic stay at Rosemain. The house is beautifully presented, very comfortable and well equipped. It's in a great location, walking distance to Rock Beach and so many other pretty coastal spots. Would very happily stay again and hope to return to the area for another holiday soon.
”We had just the perfect stay at Rosemain through Perfect Stays! Staff were very professional and helpful throughout and nothing was too much. What really made our trip was hiring a hot tub, it was well worth it and it made our stay that little bit special and we had some great photos with my family wearing shower caps. The location is great for local shops, pubs and also local hot spots. Nestled in a little village it is a five minute drive to the ferry to get over to wonderful Padstow and maybe 15 minutes to the gorgeous beach of Polzeath. Both a must! AMAZING HOUSE with their own horses out the back and ample of space for little ones to run around. Great location. Not a fault to find!
”We have just had the most perfect stay in Rosemain in Rock. The house was amazing, furnished to a very high standard and well equipped. The garden was enormous which we all enjoyed using in the hot sunny weather.
Perfect Stays were very attentive and helpful with our stay and we would definitely use them and this house again.
”Rosemain is a beautiful and very well appointed house. The garden was perfect for our lively grandchildren and parking was easy and spacious. Even when the evening got cold everyone fitted into the enormous kitchen and sitting room. The local shops, just a short walk away, were very good indeed. Nathan Outlaw's Seafood Restaurant at the St Enodoc was outstanding.
”Absolutely perfect stay! We thoroughly enjoyed our time here - the house is great! Fabulous memories for us all!
”A fantastic two week stay, sorry to be leaving! Great location. 'Perfect Stays' really do live up to their name. Look forward to returning.
”Our extended family stayed at Rosemain for my husband's big birthday celebration and it could not have been more perfect. We covered all age groups and the house was ideal for everyone. The beach at Rock is also perfect for all ages and we all enjoyed getting the ferry from the beach to Padstow. The holiday has given us all such lovely memories.
