  • Ocean-facing yoga studio
  • Hot tub

A dream realised, Oku is an ode to its coastal surroundings. Poised over Porth Beach and resembling a modern Scandinavian summerhouse, its exterior is dressed in rich ebony wood and natural stone. Thoughtfully curated to optimise its beautiful ocean outlook, many colourful sunsets and gently lapping waves can be enjoyed throughout the home.

Find yourself fully decompressing the moment you step inside. From its Nordic architecture to its Japandi-inspired minimalist aesthetic, Oku has been designed to optimise coastal living. With light wood touches, warm plaster-style walls, and terracotta tiles, it feels deeply calming. In every room, expertly executed carpentry meets luxurious decor, while stand-out features include cathedral-style ceilings, inviting window seats and beach views. The open-plan kitchen, dining and living area is the core of the home. With breath-taking sea vistas, a bespoke cocktail bar and a wood burner, it's the perfect setting for multi-generational get-togethers.

The master bedroom occupies an enviable spot on the first floor, with impeccable views of Porth Beach, a private terrace, a super king bed and an opulent en-suite bathroom. Bedroom two, also with an en-suite, lies adjacent and overlooks the garden.

On the ground floor, you'll find en-suite bedrooms three, four and five, which all enjoy direct access to the sea-view side deck. Just opposite, escape reality in the cinema room or reach a tranquil state in the sea-facing yoga studio moments after waking up - you'll find fun and relaxation in equal measure.

Taking inspiration from the landscape with a plethora of natural winding pathways, copper accents and lovingly nurtured plants, the garden is a blissful haven. With a fire pit overlooking the beach, a sea-view sunken sauna and a hot tub, here you can breathe deeply.

With direct coast path access, you’ll be at the beach within moments. When it's time to refuel, head to Ansum for the finest pizza, or to Gwenna Teahouse to satisfy any sweet tooth, both on Oku's doorstep. Nearby Tallo at SeaSpace has delicious food for family suppers, and the restaurant and beach bar at Lusty Glaze are well worth a visit, just around the coast. Ugly Butterfly is a short drive away and a must-try for fine dining fans. For surfing and dog walks, the neighbouring beaches at Mawgan Porth, Watergate Bay and Crantock are famous for their excellent swell, golden dunes and Mediterranean-looking waters.

This property is brand new to our portfolio - our professional video and interactive floorplans are coming soon.

More about theGround Floor

Cinema Room

The cinema room is high-spec, with a Bowers & Wilkins sound system and a large Adeoscreen projector. Deep teal walls with a tactile, velvet finish help to provide an immersive cinema experience. A generously sized azure sofa promises the utmost comfort for cosy evenings and soft lighting provides the finishing touch.

The result is a space that blends unparalleled cosiness with sensory isolation and shuts out the outside world, enveloping you in rich, cinematic sound.

Yoga Studio

The opportunity to exercise whilst looking out onto a golden sand beach is truly rare and means motivation will never be hard to find. Home to a TV screen and room for a couple of mats, endorphins will be high in no time.

Choose whichever form of movement makes you happiest, whether that's practicing yoga, completing a Pilates routine or simply stretching. A sleek crittal-style window allows light to flow freely into the space and showcases a stunning beach view.

Bedroom Three with En-suite

Rise to a view of the sea, before sipping a coffee, reading a book or gazing at the waves on the snug window seat. A plush 6ft zip and link bed will allow deep rest and a dressing table sits in natural light, perfect for getting ready each day.

In the bathroom, decorated with terracotta styles, two oak mirrors and black fittings, you’ll find an indulgent waterfall shower and twin sinks, designed for you to take up as much space as you please.

Bedroom Four with En-suite

Feel the sun on your skin as soon as you wake, with direct access onto the side deck. A light colour palette and minimalist interiors create a peaceful ambiance, while glass doors let in an abundance of light to give the room an airy and calming feel. A 6ft zip and link bed lies in wait, while elegant drapes promise a restful night's sleep.

The modern en-suite is a stunning sanctum, with terracotta tiles, matte black fittings and polished plaster-style walls. Start each morning refreshed in the walk-in waterfall shower before completing your grooming routine in the mirror.

Bedroom Five with En-suite

Similar to bedroom four, this beautiful room boasts the same calming feel and minimal interiors. With doors onto the side deck, you can breathe the freshest sea air as soon as you wake and be the first one in the hot tub each day. When seeking a rest, the armchair provides a peaceful seat to escape reality with a good book. The vanity is on hand to aid you in getting ready for a busy day and this bedroom has another 6ft zip and link bed, ready for many dreamy sleeps.

The en-suite is dressed in Morroccan-style tiles and has a walk-in waterfall shower, giving it a spa-like and relaxing feel.

Utility

Home to a washing machine, tumble dryer and built-in drying racks, this large utility room enables nothing to be off-limits for your holiday. No need to worry about bracing the Cornish elements, being covered in sand or skipping into the sea, thanks to plenty of washing and drying facilities.

Office

A private sanctuary, the exterior office is a cosy hideaway which boasts a sea view. With a snug desk and comfortable chair, it’s the perfect spot to let your creativity flow in peace, or take care of business with full privacy.

Wet Room

The perfect spot for a post-beach reset. This practical wet room offers handy storage for towels, wetsuits and sandals, with a hanging rail and shoe rack. Just outside, a handheld shower makes it easy to rinse off sandy feet and paws before heading indoors.

Kitchen, Dining and Living Area

Designed to optimise sea views, beach sunsets and memorable moments together, the kitchen, dining and living area is truly the heart of the home. With high vaulted oak ceilings, an open-plan layout, views of the garden and sea vistas, this space will be a vibrant social hub for your getaway, ideal for both entertaining and unwinding.

The sleek and modern kitchen is high-spec and boasts Smeg appliances, including two dishwashers, two ovens and a hob. A Qettle boiling water tap sits at the sink and a large Fisher & Paykel fridge-freezer gives ample storage space. An Original Sage Nespresso Creatista Plus coffee machine has its own station, ensuring barista-style coffee to look forward to each morning.

The large dining table seats 10 guests for family mealtimes, before you sink into the cosy curved boucle sofa, with the wood burner on to warm your skin. Find utter peace by reading a book in the generously sized window seat, which overlooks Porth Beach. All the while, access to both the rear deck and front terrace means you can live al fresco.

Master the art of mixology with the bespoke built-in cocktail bar. Complete with a stone basin, a Caple wine fridge, cocktail shaker and black barrel style stools, you can craft custom drinks and sip them over a sunset dinner.

Pantry

Complete with sliding doors, the pantry is next to the kitchen area and has ample space. Home to a washing machine, fridge and plenty of storage, it's there to assist in catering for all your loved ones.

Hallway and WC

With an enormous window providing an abundance of light, the hallway is home to a cosy reading nook with a soft boucle chair and standing lamp. A door opens onto the rear deck and the WC is decorated tastefully in red roof-style tiles, bringing a gently rustic touch to a modern space.

Master Bedroom with En-suite

Sweeping sea views, an indulgent en-suite and a super king bed make this the coastal bedroom of dreams. Enjoy a lie-in from the wonderfully comfortable bed before letting the sun greet you from the ocean-facing terrace. Continue your morning here, sitting back to enjoy a morning coffee.

A dressing table is positioned in a large sea-facing window, making it the perfect place for some downtime, which you can spend doodling sketches of the beach or getting ready for an evening out.

The en-suite is large and designed so that you can embrace the elements without having to worry about the consequences. So, when you come back from a salty or sandy adventure, the only choice you have to make is whether to head for the walk-in waterfall shower or enjoy a long bath in the freestanding tub. The shower sits between a clear interior window so it's directly visible from the bedroom.

Bedroom Two with En-suite

Views looking out onto the garden, high vaulted oak ceilings, and a neutral colour palette mean there's a light and airy feel here. With a floor length mirror and freestanding wardrobe, the interior decor has been mindfully mapped out to make this room a home-from-home. A 6ft zip and link bed faces the garden, meaning your day can start and finish the perfect way, with a glimpse of nature.

In the en-suite you can soak in a deep bubble bath or rinse in the waterfall shower after a day of exploring the coastline.

More about theExterior

Rear Deck

The living space sprawls from the inside out onto the rear deck. Here, there's a Bowers & Wilkins sound system, so you can set the ambiance of every moment. There's also a large outdoor dining table and a serving hatch that opens from the kitchen onto the garden, adding ease to big summer lunches and warm summer nights.

With a Big Green Egg charcoal barbeque, worktop and cabinet, the compact outdoor kitchen turns the garden into a central hub for entertaining.

Hot Tub

Bespoke and lovingly made, the seven foot wood-clad hot tub promises a full relaxation experience. With curved steps and a private position on the deck, it’s a favourite feature of the home. You won’t want to miss the special golden hue that radiates off the tub’s copper lining when the sun shines. At Oku, every sunset is a spectacle. Watch stars come to life each evening from the warmth of the hot tub.

Sauna

Begin your journey of rejuvenation in the front garden, where you’ll find a set of granite boulder steps. At the bottom of these, a sunken sauna with a first-class view of Porth Beach awaits. Fronted in glass and smartly angled to optimise sea views, the sauna is sheltered by the earth, its roof and sides enveloped by a bed of grass.

Complete with a coldwater shower, you can have the full Nordic cycle experience, or use it to rinse off after a beach visit. And, thanks to the sauna's close proximity to the shoreline, you can even use the sea as your coldwater therapy.

Fire Pit

Positioned over the water, the seating around the fire pit is curved, allowing fluid conversation. Its location just above the sauna means it's a great feature for spa-like evenings and with little light pollution, sunset viewing and stargazing are a must.

Side Deck

Delight in al fresco living on the plush outdoor sofa. Savour a morning coffee with the fresh ocean air on your skin, relish a rolling brunch or enjoy a meal for two under a canopy of stars.

Rinse Station

There's no need to worry about getting sand between your toes with a rinse station positioned next to the front door. With a handheld shower head, it's perfect for rinsing sandy toes and paws.

Mawgan Porth is a neighbouring beach and a Sunday Times award winner, famous for its swell.
