From the moment you pull up to The Quarter Deck’s powder blue wood clad exterior, you’ll feel a sense of coastal calm wash over you. Created with families and socialising in mind, the fresh and bright living spaces combine with contemporary furnishings, all carefully curated by one of Cornwall’s leading interior designers.

Set just above the golden sands of Trevone Bay, this home-from-home provides a stylish base for exploring Cornwall’s north coast. The open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge is punctuated with bold pops of colour and offers plenty of spots for relaxing as a group. The dining room leads straight onto the enclosed garden and decking area, whilst the ground floor lounge centres around a feature wood burner. Teenagers and children will love the snug just next door, which comes with plump bean bags and a PlayStation 4. 

The perfect spot for watching clouds drift overhead and the sea glisten in the distance, The Quarter Deck’s elevated ‘lookout lounge’ comes with a Smart TV and Blu-ray player for evening entertainment.

Sleeping up to 11 guests in total, The Quarter Deck offers a generous six bedrooms for flexibility. Three are located on the ground floor, allowing guests with limited mobility the freedom and independence to enjoy this beautifully appointed home in comfort. Whilst a further three bedrooms can be found on the first floor, along with a family bathroom. 

One of Cornwall’s ‘Seven Bays’, Trevone is surrounded by incredible beaches, coastal walks and water-based activities. Head around the coast to Harlyn Bay for family surf lessons, sunbathe on Constantine Bay’s powdery sands and build sandcastles at Porthcothan Bay before heading to Mawgan Porth for a seafood lunch. Guests will be spoilt for choice when it comes to incredible restaurants, with the foodie capital of Padstow less than ten minutes away by car. For a round of golf with a view, head to the beautiful Trevose Golf and Country Club, just a quick drive from Trevone.

Open Plan Kitchen, Dining Room and Lounge 

The perfect space for dinner parties, The Quarter Deck’s kitchen leads onto the dining room, which then curves round to the lounge. This clever open plan design ensures that the designated chef can whip up a culinary storm without missing out on socialising with the rest of the group. 

With a huge central island and breakfast bar seating, take a moment to enjoy an early morning coffee from the Nespresso machine before the rest of the group descend. There’s a Neff double oven, six-ring gas hob, dishwasher, microwave and a small integrated fridge for the essentials (with a large fridge-freezer in the utility room). 

The dining table is surrounded by laid back bench seating and chairs, with French doors opening straight onto the decking and garden. To the right hand side, the lounge centres around a feature log burner and Samsung Smart TV with Netflix and Apple TV. 

The Snug

This connecting hallway has been cleverly utilised to provide a little snug room that children will adore. Plump bean bags provide the perfect gaming seat for the Playstation 4. 

Bedroom Four

A ground floor double bedroom leads off from the kitchen, providing an accessible room for guests with limited mobility, along with easy access to the social spaces. A family bathroom is located next door with a walk-in shower. 

Bedroom Five

A pretty single room with garden views, bedroom five is set in a quiet corner of the house and promises a peaceful night’s sleep. The family bathroom is just across the hall. 

Bedroom Six

Perfect for light sleepers, this room is nestled between bedroom five and the family bathroom and comes with a plump double bed.  

Family Bathroom

Finished in soft natural tones, the spacious family bathroom features a huge walk-in shower. 

Utility Room

Just next to the kitchen, the utility room has a large Bosch fridge-freezer, a Bosch washing machine and tumble dryer as well as access to the rear garden.

Master Bedroom and En-suite 

With high vaulted ceilings and a Juliette balcony overlooking the garden, the master bedroom has been lovingly designed with peace and tranquillity in mind. Sneak away from the group for an afternoon in the sumptuous super king bed with a good book or soak your worries away in the en-suite bathtub. There’s also a walk-in shower for washing off the salt and sand. 

Bedroom Two 

This generous king size bedroom is awash with natural light that spills through the Velux and charming porthole window.

The Lookout Lounge

The Quarter Deck’s elevated ‘lookout lounge’ provides a magical spot for coming together as a group. With a wraparound corner sofa and long adjacent windows looking across the rooftops and out to sea, there’s no better place for getting into holiday mode. Movie nights are well catered for, with bean bags, floor cushions and a large Samsung Smart TV with a Blu-ray player.  

Bedroom Three

Bedroom three is comprised of a super king zip and link bed that offers flexible sleeping arrangements as an optional twin room.

Family Bathroom

Dedicated to bedrooms two and three, the family bathroom features an enclosed shower and bathtub.

Garden

The wraparound garden provides ample space to relax in the sun, offering sheltered spots from the sea breeze. Enclosed around the circumference and with plenty of outdoor seating, this is a welcoming space for families with young children or pets. A hot outdoor shower and dunk tank is a welcome feature when returning from the beach and there’s also a gas barbeque for al fresco dining.

Parking

There’s parking for two cars outside The Quarter Deck, as well as space for a third small car inside the garage. In the row of four spaces (two for The Quarter Deck and two for Samphire), The Quarter Deck’s spaces are the two on the right-hand side, nearest the house.
