Eco-minded Holiday Homes in Devon and Cornwall

Where five-star luxury meets eco-minded design

We recognise that we need to protect the wealth of beautiful coastlines and scenic countryside across Cornwall, Devon and Somerset. The impact of our business extends beyond the brick walls of our office, and includes the holiday homes on our portfolio, as well as the actions of our visiting guests. That's why Perfect Stays are committed to reducing the environmental effects of our business and the wider tourism industry.

With strong eco credentials ranging from renewably powered hot tubs and biodiverse gardens to totally carbon neutral buildings, our eco-minded property collection offers the perfect opportunity for a lower impact holiday in the South West.

Under the guidance of the Green Future Solutions team at the University of Exeter, we've identified the positive steps made by several homeowners on our portfolio helping to reduce the environmental impact of their property. Throughout this process, we've taken into account the environmental impact of each home, how it's managed, and how it's used by our guests. We recognise this isn't an exhaustive list, but rather the crucial first step in an evolving process that we intend to nurture.

You'll find a snapshot of credentials for our eco-minded property collection below. Should you like more information on a specific property on this page, you can also speak with our team on 01208 895 570 or info@perfectstays.co.uk.

What we're doing

While property-specific efforts are a great place to start, we're committed to reducing our environmental impact across the Perfect Stays brand. Here's how this forms part of our everyday:

• We encourage our property owners to provide locally sourced produce in their welcome hampers for guests. We're passionate about supporting the South West's independent bakeries, dairies, delis and vineyards to reduce food miles.

• Through our tailored concierge service and in our Local Area Guides, we provide recommendations for beaches, restaurants and attractions within walking distance of our properties, to reduce car dependency. We also provide options for local bike hire and public transport.

• We actively encourage effective recycling by providing our guests with accurate information that's specific to the property they're staying in.

ABOUT US
Brynia.png

Brynia

At a glance
Sleeps 8 - 12 guests in Daymer Bay, North Cornwall

Positive attributes
• During the build, 85% of trades were local to the area - a conscious choice to minimise travel
• Four litter pickers are provided to encourage guests to plan their own small-scale beach cleans
• Solar panels power the household, EV charger and hot tub. A battery stores excess energy before repleneshing the grid.
• Natural boundaries in the garden repurposed 500 tonnes of stone during the build. Along with hedging and wildflower borders, this improved biodiversity and created homes for Cornish rabbits, mice and voles.
